A place to list some basic consumables that newbies should know. Not everything should be listed so that people explore/ research/ etc, but so as not to be totally at disadvantage.

* recall potion -- Echuir the witch, Seringale. It is absolutely essential to have 1 or more of this potion 100% of the time to be safe.
* purple potions -- Sanctuary. large hobgoblin, Tenebria . This gives huge damage reduction from all sources for 2 hours.
* gyvel potions -- Cure blindness. Aruncus the druid, Plains of the North.
* spotted purple pill - Teleport. wizard in Seringale. Last resort to avoid being pk'd is teleport.


Things to look out for and consider stocking: armor potions, cure potions, flying sources, better versions of the above, and the monster potions for levelling.

Also, the seeds sold in Timiran can grant you protection creature (gray), Cure blindness (black) and sanctuary (white) herbs if you plant them in a field and wait two hours. Or if you have wild growth it can be nearly instant!

Energy scrolls from the Large elementals in Elemental Canyon are decent heals for classes that use scrolls. Good to collect.

Really awesome idea Davairus!

Kill dusts in elemental for magic dust (detect invis).
Kill shudde (worm) North of Seringale for clear potion (detect invis detect good detect evil).
Collect roots from the ground in witch wood (emerald forest) - (detect invis but poisons you too - good in a pinch or if you just want to check who and don’t want to waste a longer duration detect).

1. vials of crimson blood from the crows north of Darkhaven: alternative source of sanctuary (can't be summoned unlike the large hobgoblins)

2. purple and clear potions from the tentacles in the Murmuring Mists north of Valour and west of Tyr Unguld: alternative source to the large hobgoblins and Shudde, this location is especially important to know for Knight characters

3. bound scrolls in Thalos Ruins/Grand Thalos... Extra source of detect invis for bards and thieves (just pick the desk and you have access to a scroll)

4. flasks of blood (I forget the other key words) in a locked chest of some sort the Keep of D'al Kadar: another sanctuary source for rogues IF they have high enough lock picking proficiency

5. Grand Pooh-ba's staff: stave carried by the Grand Pooh-ba which, when brandished, casts create food (useful for shamans, DKs, and necromancers to summon when going on long Winter trips)

6. Wet totem from the High Towers of Sorcery: stave found in the study near Grunky (it's in the bookcase) which casts create spring (useful for training staves if you're not a druid, also useful in an emergency)
