i would have loved to get ophalina as a mystic, but her bloodthirst was a bit to much for the Mystics. Like you said Mystics are more the scholar types. but i do like the religion tying into the cabals. My concern is what shall we do with the many other religions that would not fall into a category of the 5 cabals we have at the moment? also are we going to look into the leader of the cabal needs to have some type of relation of faith or some such with the leader of his faith?

i might have been looking at it wrong, when you spoke of adding the religion into the cabal system an there would be the champions an such. I was thinking the only champions would be cabal leaders only. so that is where i was going with the few cabals and many religions. i think i was reading it completely wrong......

Ah ok. Yes, we'll have adepts independent. Avatars can select the cabal leader to be their adept if they want to. But I'll need that to be open to anyone in theory. We'll dismiss this idea of "champions" and leave that to "caballed" and touch up our cabal lore appropriately instead of reinventing the wheel.. we have it built already and just need to clean up.

P.S. I have done something entirely new with initiate, and I will reveal that soon. Hopefully tonight, but Taleroth has a rare login and I jumped on him to discuss the missing timeline entries. There's still a lot of work to be done for religions to be perfect, but I think we're getting closer. Sorry for all the confusing changes. I hope they are for the better and if not i will keep trying to improve.

The following changes are in affect:

* communers no longer pick DEITY in creation
* communers boons are now gained at pledge instead of on creation
* initiate is now done with respect to an order named after ELEMENT (e.g. you initiate yourself into the "order of blood""). when you are initiated you will be given the leader name so it isnt confusing
* pledge now requires approved background (thats mystics/imms). pledge is still done to a specific deity
* cabals now requires pledged characters before induct will be allowed.
* a new rank was added. ive added acolyte where adherent was, moving adherent and adept up one place each. an acolyte is one who is pledged, an adherent is a tattoo bearer and an adept is the highest rank
* adept is now an immortal-only granted rank signifiying the high priest of an order
* adepts can iniitate people into their own religion, irrespective of cabal or coterie etc
* the OUTFIT command now grants some eq at higher levels for your religion. interestingly, if your god has alliances with other gods, you will gain their pieces as well. follower of despised gods like darkhan gets a stronger item instead of sharing

related / important
* Mystics are now offiically recognized as scholars, they do not take a strict stance on religion. they are wisemen that share knowledge and understanding of religions and gods as a whole. we still allow them to initiate but we dont expect religious warfare from mystics. it doesnt make sense for them as scholars
* although we allow one off axis for religion picking, we are NOT doing it for cabals. the knights will re quire the guy to be good, the legions to be evil, and the keepers to be ntural. however, we are relaxing the constraint that keepers must be TRUE neutral. they will accept anybody who is pledged to a true neutral god instead. so neutral chaotics can enter keeper. justice will require lawful ethos

TO-DO:
give outcast to adepts (use on own religion only)
a flock command to see members of your order (some religions may be adept only)

Uzume, it works just as regular outfit in the guildhall. Though I did log a bug that with the religious item it was not giving the Outfit set.

Nyc's found a problem... can't choose some of the celestials. This is a gigantic hole and it will take some time to fix because the system was build on top of something with a hole in it. Not being able to pick celestial "death" wouldve been a good thing to raise.

init doesnt depend on celestial pick anymore. just usual align. This causes some interesting combos, like a death celestial follower of sakuragi

Please note that going forwards, due to the changes to outcast flag, characters who leave Knights disgracefully will be made permanently anathema instead.

I have removed the negatives from the religion picks for clerics, because choosing a religion this way was like being in a room with 3 treasure chests and all of them are trapped:

*removed malice parry problem
*removed ret flee problem
*removed mercy penalty
*removed vanity blasphemy penalty
*removed life,vanity save penaltys
*removed prudence,tolerance spell level penalty
*removed order mana gain penalty

Couldnt find any others. I put them all onto cleric outcasts.
