  1. I made a huge mistake trying to sleep before using aura, but still, this dude is jacked even without tenor. My zombies hit him once even all with strength damned.

    Obviously there is still a lot to learn, cuz I'm not sure if the sleep spell is on par with blackjack in terms of success or what kind of saves Thoom has. Can't be too high though cuz of that damage he inflictd on me.

    Sleep spell is 100% btw.

    1. I think Sleep has significantly lower success rate than blackjack in my experience, so plan for failure on this one and always quaff purples. Fighting someone like Thoom is going to be a real challenge even at fifty. First of all, you would want non physical damaging zombies so that when they hit, they do decent damage. Additionally, I think ideally you would have zombies that are even higher ranked than fifty for these people that have high defenses so that they hit more. Take this with a grain of salt but this is what I remember.

      1. oooooof. Never go for sleep on a warrior unless his saves are shit. And not a Warlord. No no no. Go for either a damage attack or a blind so you can use zombie rescue.

        Uh I am not sure if it is still a thing, but reboots used to strip strength damned.

        Also, you are using level 50 zombies against a level 50 warlord. You NEED the level advantage for your zombies to win that dice roll in combat. Level 54 at least. Level 60 if you have powerful friends, good luck and maybe gold for decorating.

        1. Always quaff purple first.
          Always make sure weapon ward is up. Not sure if it was here?
          If you decide to go for sleep first try, wear a -15 mal break item.
          Be ready to run and vamp touch shit, then go back to battle.
          Wear your mal break item when vamp touching.
          Have a -15 aff break item for acid blast., unless you rely on rend life.

          The Innkeeper in winter has divine power attack. Level 50 mob. Can't tell you how many ppl I mowed down with a trio of strength damned innkeepers.

          1. Poison/plague are also good to reduce his strength but never initiate with a mal unless you've got the fight going in your favor or going for that blind rescue.

            Drop his str and he may drop weapons and giant has low dex so the -dex drops it considerably low. I would try a wilting touch but not on thoom lmao. I failed a blackjack on him on yngfre and ye practically 1 rounded me
