  1. Apparently poison negates fury completely. Fury is built so you can use skills as a berserker. It says it help file it prevents from raging and berserk... but I was already raged. So can't roar, can't berserk, can't use meltdown...which is the new relax skill for my dragon ancestry.
    It's very reliable, you just causes damage to everything in the room. With the equipment and rank disadvantage thought I'd toy with chul the fool right outside of town on the river. See if I can get lucky, almost did first time around.. If shit went south, I'd meltdown and waltz back into town.
    Can't use that either since poison makes all fury useless.

    2. Before we get too deep in the weeds, lets first acknowledge this was fighting a supergeared level 50 with 5 levels advantage. In normal circumstances saves are going to be very effective to avoid the poisons. There are also timian potions once you are out of combat. Quite useful for a berserker. It doesnt have to be a recall potion.

      It seems like inability relax/meltdown might be an edge case.

      The idea was the poison spell would pretty much just disable the skills that influence the gauge. Being poisoned shouldn't matter so much with rage already in affect. Rage is like playing loud music to ignore a headache and disables the skills itself anyway. I will need to have a look through and see if I can root out the places where a poison was improperly affecting the zerker because of rage. I am going to also give maybe a "warning". Down the road I did eventually want to add a high chance for gaseous poisons (currently just gas breath / poison smoke) to also do an unrage. This is specific for AOE gas that was breathed in, instead of somehow injected. That will give the shadow a dilemma of whether to try to shurikens/tarantula for quick poison or save it to counter the eventual rage. Also I should say again I was assuming players are comfortable with gathering timian potions.

  2. Good idea there. Was caught completely off guard with poison mitigating half a zerkers skills set...including meltdown. That's what I was banking on.

    1. First two lines pretty much sum it up for me. But you had to expect to get dunked by Chul, even without the rank advantage. Only chance you have is landing a hobble and lagging him out, and that’s with even level and gear. I applaud the bravado and IC shit talking though.
      1. Rank and equipment disadvantage was ok with me. I mean raged, warcry and berserk I still have less hit and damroll than he does.
        It was about fucking off to get lucky, and I almost got that luck earlier...should've bodyslammed instead of berserked.. then the log would be much different. Was relying on the 3 round lag from sidestep so I could meltdown flee and go back to town.
        Meltdown did have a bug btw. I should have been able to use it.
      2. I get what you’re saying but I still think hobble is the way to go. Take the sidesteps away you might have lasted two to three more rounds, you averaged what, one attack every other round doing less damage than him. The difference between him ending that fight with 50% instead of 70%.

    2. I haven't seen Rhaktor on since this fight.. chul is single handed-ly keeping all the evils down from their pinnacle. I know I can't get past 49 and can't get any decent items.. chul just murders and takes them for auction.

    3. Imagine being a drow and getting inducted as a justice at level 40 and 20k+ exp debt per rank. Then having all level 50s in your pk range the moment you hit 42. Am I supposed to feel sorry for you? You let me kill you, this wasn't a long drawn out fight. You obviously had no purples in your inventory, would you have the same attitude if some elf paladin just lightning charged you to death? I mean I saw Rhaktor play at lvl 25 buying all kinds of shit on the auction house. I actually out bid him on fucking dragonscale pauldrons for 50k. Imagine having to out bid a level 25 for a level 50 item. So fuck yeah I went after him. Getting to level 50 is supposed to be a gauntlet, its supposed to be a badge of honor.       1. It's ok Chul, calm down. I didn't ask you to feel sorry for me and you obviously don't. Still, asking a legit question, regardless of my intentions, about Justice. I also know it's obvious what you're doing... hide in town as justice.. best of both worlds.. no one dares attack you while in town.. and the minute they leave town you just follow and kill, and they can't retaliate because you'll just sit in town. It's a brilliant strategy! Although it's just allowing the goods to be in power.

What you wrote here is correct but not specific to shadows. The way you counter this behavior is you fight them near the gates because they'll get swiftly uninducted if they attack in town.

    4. This type of crap just bothers me. I just posted a log of me killing Ilromie, I would have posted a log of me killing Kali in the same way except he fled and worded away. If paladins weren't so beast mode I'd post a log of me killing them, but hey its not my fault they have specialized skills that make them really hard to kill. If Rhoa, Lumubella and Alkas want to come after me and get wanted, guess what isn't that better for you? Were you and Rhaktor planning on invading valour and killing all the knights? Or coming after Solmundi since he is a paladin?
      On top of that the people behind those paladins are actually good at the game. its not like I haven't fought any. I really don't understand some of you in this toxic community. What goods are in power? how is that my problem? Dogran literally wrote a note calling for legion applicants, go bitch to him about killing the paladins.

    5. Sounds like this is an unpopular opinion, but I love what Chul is doing right now. Before, I couldn't even imagine the RP of a Drow Shadow Justice. It didn't really seem to click. Chul has made this click perfectly: keeping all of his competition (i.e., other evils) beneath him, while simultaneously enraging any goodies, forcing them to make themselves vulnerable in order to take him out. I'm not mad at him at all. He's playing this role to a T.

      Dav has pointed this out before, but if people are really upset at what he's doing, I beg the question: where are the Knights? Chul is the most prominent evil threat in Serin right now. Is it really not worth getting yourself wanted to try to eliminate that threat? Is it really going to take a group of scholars to team up and take him out?

      Chul, keep it up. When the inevitable gank comes, I just encourage you to take it in stride. You're on top of Serin right now, but all good things eventually come to an end. Ride it out until then.
      1. I think the issue with the Knights is they are trying to navigate the RP still, maybe? It's new territory, like you said, no one has been able to pull it off quite like Chul before. Also Chul is pretty competent and drow shadows aren't pushovers to begin with, throw in a wanted flag and a special guard? Maybe they're just scared lol. Maybe a combo of both idk, I'm just making shit up at this point.

        And to be fair, it seems like Lumubella at least has been trying to take him out.

        I don't mind Chul's in game rp, for the most part. Like you said it fits drow shadow justice (which if I'm being honest still irks me because I hate that combo lol) but he's doing it right. I just get annoyed when he throws a fit because he didn't win a fight that he shouldn't have won. But hell, most of us do that I guess.

      4. There is RP and there is "RP". Killing efficiently has a natural "RP" that comes along with it. It just does. You don't even have to try to "RP," just have a good pk char.
        Then you have RP. That's a fleshed out plan for your character, history, and can build that into your chars life, and so on. Something you can be proud of, something that stands out, something you do not waiver from even when you lose your temper or something doesn't go your way. So when you have "RP" and RP built together, then you have something memorable. Just my 2 cents.
