melice looted praoli corpse when i managed to kill him. i didn't know at the time she was a justice wannabe. So now fast forward shes a 48th rank justice drow. I wanted to go get angelic from the justice vault didn't even know she was there and as soon as i step on and start boom there she is. Long super long fight ensue over the prospect of an hour or more and the whole time i don't use my avenging angels. Suddenly she starts goading me and hiding behind dagnir. She kept saying come get me bring your angels with you. well folks. don't ask if you can't hang.

      1. I don't know if wrong was truly done here, you have an overzealous noble out to fight anyone because he just got all the equipment he wanted. So now the goal is to use it, why this player went the noble route when they know their play style doesn't support the rp is of course a topical question. However when I log into the game RP is REQUIRED in red bold letters no where does it say it is ENFORCED. This is the second instance the same noble invaded a cabal and killed a justice. I think this has been the source of my frustration because I always assumed RP was enforced and it clearly isn't. My expectation in the past was WTF WHY ISN'T AN IMMORTAL STOPPING THIS RAMPAGING PLAYER. That clearly isn't the expectation, good bad or indifferent the expectation is to tattle on your fellow players. What does that solve? Paroli was full looted, Melise was full looted and Aligord has the ability to get the best eq in the game without much trouble. So if Paroli or Melise complain in game, this guy gets slayed and full looted? Now you have 3 players without equipment and probably salty about how this game is being officiated. I have wanted to say this for a while, but this game was never about RP, some people brought interesting flavor to the game, but at everyone's core its still hack and slash.

        2. Like I said its very simple, just make a note. The paladin abilities are indeed RP enforced as the helpfiles say, and if they are being misused that is up to the gods of light. God of light presumably wants the respect and favor of the community and also wants to see evils (griefers and other villainous types) get spanked, which can include their own paladins. Right? Just common sense. People do things wrong, take their lumps, move on. If the gods of light lose the respect of the community, it'd be by turning a blind eye as you are saying ozaru, but my experience is people have personal lives and its a slow process to resolve things like this. Moreover would rather do this IC and not over a logboard. Its nice to have the initiative to get the process started - which you obviously do - but then your lack of patience is ironically self-defeating as its a huge turn-off from wanting to deal with it. Remember the game is supposed to be fun and the RP stuff is fun from intrigue and nobody on the staff is really looking to pop out of a bush with a slay and full loot immediately when you fuck up. except me of course.
        3. Couple of thoughts here. First, Dav is right that Imm do have personal lives and for me my IRL job workload doubled in February and hasn't let up so I haven't been around nearly as much as normal to police things that need policing. That said, we have an active Executor right now and a Noble stepping on the path is an IC infraction that an Exec is well-suited to handle. I also like what Dav said about instances in the past with Imms being too quick to slay/full loot. I am guilty of this and have tempered myself the other direction recently by wanting to talk and observe more before jumping to action or punishment. I think everyone would rather have Imms who have patience and empathy rather than Imms who jump to conclusion or rush judgement.

I feel that an evil writing a letter to the gods complaining about someone is way more out of character than what Aligord did and his actions are blatantly ooc. But I think if they ratted on him like a narc that's way worse. That's like something a thief legion would do.

        7. OK there is a difference between reporting and tattle-taleing. If you are doing it just to get someone into trouble then you're definitely acting balls deep in evil. If you're literally reporting a serious problem to the gods (a malfuctioning Justice/pally/whatever) then that can be approached with an OOC note if you want, you can report through the issue system if you prefer, but the paladin will still meet the imm IC

      2. Its a mixed bag. Paladin killing evil, someone not afraid of taking a flag to kill evil justices. Nothing says a noble cant be aggressive, though it would make more sense for a knight to be doing this. I like the guts here, hate the roleplay behind it. However you feel about it it needs to be handled in game and not on the logboard.

          consequence of Knights protecting nobles is that they may overlook
          the danger of situations, and plunge carelessly to their death. For
          this reason, the nobles are expressively forbidden from raiding any
          cabals or entering their paths - including that of the Knights of Valour.
          For anything else dangerous, being accompanied by a Knight to guard is
          greatly encouraged.

        2. If I have to hit the chopping block and be removed as a noble then I get that. I currently understand the whole path thing and get it. I never 1 time invaded a cabal with the intentions ti draw out a player or fight anyone. I entirely forgot nobles may not step on the path and I am sorry. I talked to a knight in game and im sure rhoa will speak to me and decide what my punishment should be. My aggressive stance toward justice and evils will not be stamped out due to logboard drama.
