Gnarble DOMINATES Szrevan!!

Don't you call me a THIEF! I only BORROW things.

Szrevan I know this was probably the WORST type of fight you've ever had to fight in your life but it was the ONLY chance I had at winning. I had a lot of adrenaline because I KNEW if you caught me I'd be shredded to tiny pieces. You are just simply a monster to fight. OH MY GNOME you hit hard.

I'm posting the log since I don't think I'll EVER EVER EVER get a chance to try that strategy again.

Mottled dark-grey scales tinge with faint hues of silver as they ripple
along the sturdy frame of this bipedal reptilian creature. Several small
jagged protrusions, reminiscent of a diadem jut from his serpent-like skull,
yet they do not look to be useful for anything other than perhaps
differentiating his status from the rest of his kind. Enormous
chartreuse-yellow eyes strain against the confines of his skull, the ridged
protrusions of his sockets disproportionately large relative to his scalp.
A thin toothy snout terminating at a dull point nearly six inches from the
brow, as the overall length of his head spans nearly a foot in length. Just
above the mouth two narrow openings appear to serve as nostrils, though he
seems to primarily breathe through his mouth which lazily hangs agape
periodically, revealing a row of terrifyingly grooved ivory teeth joined by
a pristine pair of larger fangs that have clearly been cared for. Notched
small sail-fins run from the back of his cranium all the way down to his
spine, bony colorless protrusions shaven to prevent further growth that only
arise to finger-length along his slithering tail. His stature is somewhat
dwarfed by the natural inclination of his limbs to bow at the joints, as if
he is indefinitely burdened by an immensely heavy, albeit invisible, load of
short pants still soaked from the muddy rivers cradled within his taut
sinewy muscles.
He is an experienced explorer.
Szrevan is in excellent condition.

  1. Yeah I stood there at the end on 200 hp, no tenacity, nothing, waiting for you but you never came back. I really really had to go, I had only logged on to post new background chapter when you asked me out. It was either quit duel or drop link. I tried to let you know without going OOC. It's hard to chase someone when you are being nagged irl "come on! how long!? COME ON!"...

    No excuses though, shoulda gotten the job done quicker, but with this new thief bash resistance its pretty tough to keep you put long enough to sacrifice you to Vanisse.
    1. Also, I had 160 hp at the end when waiting for you to come, I woulda probably just died to a murder. I figured you are just getting some energy scrolls in and wait and waited but nothing so I was like ok, screw it, I really need to go before all hell breaks lose.
    2. I had no idea you were that low! I had 140 there too and was out of scrolls, or I would have used them and then come back at you. Shitty way to lose a duel (having to go for IRL reasons - I totally get it) - sorry about that. It was a fun game of cat and mouse though!

    5. Ah yes, the 3 damroll and 28 AC I get from the ever-nerfed Tenor is totally too much to deal with. If I would not need the +3 con from the set so desperately, I'd replace the also-nerfed titanium pieces with things that give way better overall stats instead of having 43 damroll with 7/7 enchanted weapon...
    6. Sorry if that may been come across a bit condescending, it was not the intent. My point was that I believe it can be frustrating to fight vs anyone that is pimped out, it's not just the Tenor issue.
    7. Engrave is adequately accounted for in the set bonus, and the titanium equipment is reduced ac vs bash. That's a decent backup plan if the reduced magic ac wasn't already hurting enough. You should be able to keep your head above water with comparable level equipment and magical weapon though.

  2. Okay, newbie question here. I wanted to yield out of the stun duel with Shaghroth after we'd spent an hour of fruitless wandering around, but it wasn't letting me do it so I ended up wording out instead. How do you yield? Is it only available for certain types of duels?
    1. There's a duel condition that makes opponent's yielding a win condition. I believe yielding out of regular challenges got removed a while ago because it would be easy to miss the opponent yielding whilst in heat of the battle and then accidentally kill them. If you wish to yield, simply walk out of the arena as I did.

    1. OMG (oh my gnome), I just looked at this fight on the stream - hunger and thirst were actually hitting you for a while. It wouldn't have been all that long before they were doing some serious damage. The strategy worked pretty much perfectly. If you 'stayed in the arena until one of us were dead' it definitely would have worked.

      IRL > in game every single time though - I completely agree on that one. I just feel better taking the win from this battle since that was going to be the outcome anyways.
      1. In two ticks I woulda shed skin, killed it, swallow it. Berserk and bandage for a decent amount of health. I had a plan B, I just realized you are not coming and we'd probably have to do 100 more laps so I just took off. Find me again in-game and we set something up to give you a fighting chance.
