  3. To clarify, I was on a while before you were. I was afk training at a scarecrow with a shitty laptop on my lap while spending time with my partner. I was paying about 5% attention to AR.

    You came on and I figured I'd be able to do a fight. We fought, and I killed and looted you. Partner was getting pissed at that point because my attention to AR had turned into 110%. "Are you even paying attention?".

    I wasn't able to stay and fight you but I will definitely fight you again, don't worry.

Idk if this is against warlord code but having an invoker enchant your weapon seems like magical assistance. I think Letya might have it now (she was in the group) so go see if there's a 5/5 dagger of chaos and there's your evidence.
    14. If you sell an enchant to a Warlord, you can name your price 10k an enchant if you want, and it costs you almost nothing. 100 mana is tick of sleep. Unfortunately for you, there is a price of banning it. This will cost you all future opportunities to enchant weapons for Warlords, which is probably a fuckton of missed 10k servings of gold. Meanwhile, the cost to the Warlord remains very low, because they can just use the Seringale forge for 100 medals a pop. They are swimming in those, and it applies exactly the same affect as if some invoker had enchanted their weapon. Its splitting hairs, and not really where priority should be. Is it ideal like this? I would say no. But we could have Keepers tracing powerful enchants and going after arms dealers directly. Or have enchanting for others require buying a Mystic license. Or other things, besides only banning it for one group. The fact is enchant weapon is a problematic spell in the big picture.
    15. it's not about "magical" assistance, it's about RECALL. Why are you generalizing? One is enchants like in High Tower/Seringale, other is using magic to escape from battle.

  4. So did this pretty much all come down to that one 5 hit opening round Skeggi pulled off?

    Why was there less dirt kicking than I'm to seeing? Something about the warrior berserker matchup?

    Also, is death in the arena basically a free looting timeline? Can the ghost not get back in to take his stuff back?
    1. You can't get your shit in time if they do rem all drop all in other room whilst you are incapacitated.

      No point to dirt kick a berserker with defiance.

      A lot of double rage attacks happened (which is when player autoattacks during rage without murder) which doomed me.

      Is that guaranteed or a % chance? Or was re-entering the room accidental as part of the chase?

      What does defiance do? Is it not written blinding berserker in general or just dirt?
    3. I was really lucky. I had decent-ish gear with hit dam around 32/32 without berserk/rage. I was spamming murder at certain points (ie when he fled and I knew he was stuck so he had to walk past me to escape). That’s a great strategy. I pasted my whole side because it was fast but also so people could see how I track/fight. Might help some people.

    8. Mania is easy and quick to kick in. It's very, very, very tedious to max 3 bars of willpower solely in pk as a paladin. Adding the bar system in general on pallys, then changing it from a 1 bar system to a 3 bar system encouraged, and forced you to spam reckon on mobs if you wanted to fight with any willpower at all. Since WP is tied to divine might, you will continue seeing paladins spam reckon on mobs.
      And here's why... "Note that as a corollary, a paladin possessing very little willpower would have less impact on battle. "
      So mania and willpower is a terrible, terrible example.

      Second, the berserker double murder bug is incredibly sneaky and I see why I missed it. Its much worse than I thought, and it affects more classes than just berserkers. Here is a breakdown of how it occurs.

      Every 3 seconds we look through all the players and mobs for if they are eligible autoattack. This simply means they are fighting at the time. Then, once we have the list, we sort it based on a dex bonus added to a d20. So whoever gets to attack first is based on how well this roll, plus dex factor helps. It does not guarantee that the higher dex character will attack first, but over the long term they tend to go first. That's done out of an attempt to convey that dex characters are slightly quicker.

      Now, remember I said every 3 seconds we look through players for if they are eligible to autoattack? Well what "auto-rage" does is it autoattacks right then. While checking. Plus they still get added to the list. So that means they get "seconds" every single time.

      This gets worse. Depending on who has been on longer, the checks that build the list of people who get to auto-attack will miss the player who was attacked by auto-rage. This is incredibly cheap, and means that berserkers will get a true "free double murder" just by being positioned better on the who list. If it wasn't for THAT, the other player would be able to get attacks back. On top of that, this doesn't lag the berserker in any way. And all of the damage is boosted by rage.

      The combination of those factors is why you can see the following:

      Absolute monster of a round, no chance of return fire from the victim. If he had only logged on longer, Szrevan would have been able to attack back, which makes a huge difference. And the guy is lagged from moving (all movements lag by a minimal 1 pulse), so that means he can be bodyslammed before able to do anything.

      Now, it is possible to flag the player so that if they have already had the free attack, they do not get seconds, but it is not easy to make it so that the other player gets to return fire. There is no near-term solution for this problem. It requires surgical care to fix, and a lot of testing

    Szrevan - you're typically a pinnacle of RP and clearly a very tough nut to crack in PK when you're all geared up. I'm looking forward to seeing how you handle (IC!) being knocked down a peg for once. So many cool RP options for you here - declare war on all fire giants.
