Warrior Guildhall
This is the great feasting hall of the Warriors guild, a place used for
gatherings and stories of glorious battles. Large tapestries hang over the
grey stone walls, and the great shields bearing the crests of ancient heros
of the guild hang in pride of place above the large fireplace built into the
east wall. Flanking these shields are weapons of all descriptions, from
swords and axes to flails and lances. Above the gate at the exit of the
guild is a giant sized painting of a man in shining silver armor on
horseback, lance at the ready and a sword in his scabbard. There are two
long, full weapon racks resting near the south wall, and of course in the
centre of the room is a great table. The room is moderately lit by candles
and holds the strong smell of metal and leather. There is a large practice
hall to the north, while the exit of the guild is to the west.

Entrance of the Warrior Guild
A huge gate towers overhead, the entrance to the guild of Warriors.
Detailed signs and emblems of the houses of great warriors from the past are
carved into the wooden frame of the gate, the complexity and skill of some
quite amazing. Hanging above the gate is a giant shield, too big to be
useful to even the biggest of warriors, which has a bright green border and
is enamelled in blue with a golden lion pawing the air on it. The gray
walls of this building are made of old bricks, strong and sturdy despite
their obvious great age. The gate leads east into the guild, while to the
south is the Common road.

the north. Large banners speckle the battlements that surround the city,
and past them the ever busy streets carve their way through the equally busy
shops, temples, and guilds. The path north of you leads right up to
Seringale's southern gate. The cobbled path also heads back down the hill
to the south.

The majestic city of Seringale rises past the hills to the north, even
from here it has an inviting air to it. Green fields east of here are
spotted with grazing animals and small outposts of goblins. This road has
seen little hardships, only showing minor repairs from general use. The
cobbled path butts right up against a small inn to the south, or you can
follow it to the north. There are some apparent solid footholds down the
river bank too, which seems to be changing direction again.

An old wooden shed has been converted into stables here, in a shady area
chosen noticeably distant from the Inn. Strange sounds and smells emanate
from within. A cobblestone path runs north and south just next to it. To
the west, you can see and smell the Slaughtered Lamb inn. The path becomes
obscured by fog to the south.

The Trail

the north. Large banners speckle the battlements that surround the city,
and past them the ever busy streets carve their way through the equally busy
shops, temples, and guilds. The path north of you leads right up to
Seringale's southern gate. The cobbled path also heads back down the hill
to the south.

The majestic city of Seringale rises past the hills to the north, even
from here it has an inviting air to it. Green fields east of here are
spotted with grazing animals and small outposts of goblins. This road has
seen little hardships, only showing minor repairs from general use. The
cobbled path butts right up against a small inn to the south, or you can
follow it to the north. There are some apparent solid footholds down the
river bank too, which seems to be changing direction again.

Down into a valley

Militha 1 , 0 , 0 . I imagine greed and record padding is involved. Jinjarak seems quick to take offense and quicker still to deathmark others when she *thinks* there was dishonor involved. I had a recent incident (still yet to be resolved) where she openly stated she wanted some of my wares and so demanded a duel to the death with looting allowed. I upheld those exact terms and killed her, but she seemed to think I was restricted to one area, which we did NOT agree upon beforehand. So when I left one area we were fighting in I got deathmarked upon killing her soon after.

Davairus 0 , 0 , 0 . I don't know the whole story behind this, but I have see Vok declining a load of the duels. I know that can get irritating. From what I have seen I am sure he could use the practice. Then in this log all I see is Vok is sitting naked with no sanc. IMO should not have been posted to the logboard, instead needs to go the Knight imm privately. Kedaleam 4 , 0 , 0 . Maybe because the person is 0-12 against them. Why duel if nothing is changing between the fights? It's clear they aren't winning. They must not be learning through it or care to try against these odds anymore. Why continuously even ask for the duels if this is what you will knowingly get? The way it's phrased makes it seem like its happened before. I see a previous log of the warlord saying they want a challenge, but instead of actually doing something challenging, they just abuse these couple people over and over and flex with the two to four round logs. For glory! From the outside looking in, it's just 100% padding and abuse. Perhaps there is some weird reasoning IC, that we aren't aware of. I don't know if not wanting to duel someone every single time they're both online is really a good reason however, especially if they dueled 10+ times before.

but its been like 3 weeks since ive seen you log in with militha you used to be pretty active wonder what changed.
Still... It's a terrible look to just remove all and eat a death regardless, but IMO, both parties are putting on ugly displays here unless there is just a lot more going on.
A few days ago we were exploring the mansion of the malevolent for a quest we ended up in a room with a vampire where to get in you pull a book and a door opens. We walk in and this vampire i considered looks tough, but hey we are tougher!. I attack and quickly realize, we can't kill this thing we try to open the door, the vamp autocloses the door. So I am tanking it we get to quite a few wounds and i say quaff a purple because it switched targets to vok. Personally think their was a slim chance we could have killed it if he quaffed a purple, but he quaffed a recall left me in their to die and just apologized. I knew I wasn't coming out of that room alive, but what burned me is the fact that he just quaffed without even trying to kill it. If he was at pretty hurt and said I am sorry then quaffed ok he gave it a shot and I wouldn't want him to die if he could get out. But to just leave like that given our history made me salty.
So to RP this situation out I decided I am not going to death mark him I am going to challenge him to a duel to the death to at least give a WARLORD the satisfaction of a good fight. He says something like he is sorry he doesn't want to fight and he would have gladly traded his life for mine. Yet he recalled anyway lol. So I said if he wants do right by me, give me a good fight and by then the challenge to the death expires. He agrees I challenge him to the death. HE ACCEPTS THE CHALLENGE and removes all so as a WARLORD who has a challenge to the death accepted I am now conflicted. So I choose to kill him as he just stands there, after the duel I told him he dishonors me and he should know me better than that as all I want is a good fight. I leave and see him the next day. I challenge him to the death the next time I see him he says he won't fight me to the death, but he will to the stun when he is done helping foggledonk. I tell him to hurry up and savanti logs on and he says why don't you fight savanti.
I told dav that for me this is getting stale, you all think I am just record padding and abusing people. I made this character to help people, teach people who wanted to learn to fight and fight the most challenging people in the game. All of these comments honestly just disgust me.
So anyway dav said you are a hungry crocodile go eat, so i say ok I will just challenge people to the death with this angle to hunger for a challenge. Savanti accepted because he is a gangster and thats the fight you see.
So I challenge vok the same way I challenged savanti, Vok accepted the challenge and took a dive.

so I never saw when you said to quaff a purple. Maybe my aliases still need some work. I'll take the
L for lesson learned here for never to leave a Warlord to die even if there's no chance you'll beat
the darn thing lol. Vok willingly died no contest twice in the duel to show that he's not afraid to
die for a friend if they require him to, but he'd also rather only one die than two when battling a
creature of the realms, with no possible escape. If we were prepared and everything went right, we
would have been awfully lucky to get the darn thing to pretty hurt in my opinion before both of us
were dead. I recalled with about 100 hp. Again, though I'll take the "L" on that one lol. Thanks

1. Going to defend Jinjarak here. With Vok it wasn't about equipment at all;
the only reason i made the remark at the end was because I saw something of mine
lying on the ground when I got there. At no time has she taken anything, in fact
Jinjarak has been a great mentor and has inspired me/Vok to spend a lot more time playing,
as you can see! Vok and Jinjarak have some beef to settle IC. There hasn't been any whining or bad
sportsmanship here, but if the IMMS would like to address it further feel free. That being
said I'm not sure why this got posted. "I have other concerns" was not meant to be insulting/avoiding duel,
but Vok had spent probably 4 hours the previous day going on crusades against Kryton while expecting to do it again,
depleted a lot of resources as a result, and is already almost always trying to fill/surplus the coffers.

Thanks for the feedback and yes, I understand the difference. Skurm 0 , 0 , 0 . I approach duels with warlords as a knight differently. I have agreed to basically every duel, unless there was knight duties that had priority. What I have not done, is accept a single duel to the death. They are neutral warlords, and I am a lightwalker knight. I am not going to kill them even if I do win, so why would I agree to a duel to the death? I just talk about how I have no desire for their life, and will be happy for other kinds of duels and they duel me to the stun.

Obviously a duel to the death is going to raise the nerves a bit and the fact that it is in a confined space can add to the anxiety. If you think you are going to lose then you will lose. The last challenges I have made have all been to the death with no area restriction. At least against me, you know if you lose I am not taking anything. And I hate to do this shit outside of the game but so many people propagate these issues because of their uninformed comments while sitting on discord not even logging in. I am looking for a challenge, not looking for a free kill. I really hope you understand the difference.
But then the two players involved chime in and give the backstory. There doesn't seem to be any bad feelings involved. Vok actually seems to really appreciate Jinjarak's mentorship and teaching.
So what's the moral of the story here? Give people the benefit of the doubt. Employ the rhetorical concept known as the 'Principle of Charity.' Feel free to google that term for more info, but it basically means try to interpret other's actions or arguments in the best possible light instead of the worst. Don't assume malice when there's no evidence of it. I think everyone on this forum would do well to remember that in our discussions.
