Peemo utters the words, 'yucandus ghafw'.
Peemo calls upon the power of the arcane and creates a storm of fire.

Peemo has a few scratches.

Peemo's wildfire hits you.
You dodge Peemo's crush.
Your slash DISEMBOWELS Peemo!
Your slash maims Peemo!
Peemo blocks your attack with his shield.
Your tail devastates Peemo!
You are mortally wounded, and will die soon, if not aided.
Peemo has some small wounds and bruises.

You turn into an invincible ghost for a few minutes.
As long as you don't attack anything.
You feel less healthy.

  1. So keepers are like legion now except they have really good cabal powers?

This is like a TV drama. I was sort of cheering for someone to take down Jinjarak but seeing how it’s gone down I’m now definitely cheering for her. It’s like twilight with team Jacob or Edward. I’m team Jinny all the way.
    1. Really good cabal powers that only work in very specific situations, WAR or THREAT. In order to become a THREAT, its not just about the top 5, there is more depth to it.
    2. This Keepers cabal's point, as I'd understood it, was to be a sleeping giant that comes alive when a player becomes overly geared. Not for backstabbing people while they are re-equipping. Won't hold my breath for anything being done about it on the Keeper side, but I banned Keepers and their applicants from the Juggernaut shop. The ban will remain for as long as Keepers is ganking Warlords without any pendulum movement.
    3. How about some due diligence here? The balance was swinging to the point of War with the Warlords before any of these events between Peemo and Jin. Also ganking? Jinjarak randomly issues death challenges to Peemo, regardless of what I am doing so what is the difference? I was attacked while sleeping in a previous log. I don't understand why you have to overreact with everything.
    4. Oooh drama! Perhaps we shall finally have an edition with a stirring cabal affairs section! While I do so love the idea of Immortals mixing it up in their chosen mortals affairs, the stuff of Myth that, perhaps if this is the action an exception should be made for scarecrows and training boosts? I would hate for such escalation to be tamped down via passive inconvenience of the youth... not exactly a compelling narrative climax

Peemo this log makes you look like a scummy legion.

If Jinjarak killed and looted you while you were sleeping with 100hp after fighting a mob she would look like a scummy legion too.
    6. Just playing devil's advocate here... I feel like a lot of threads have vets saying "don't like warlords? Just gank them" and "old warlords had to deal with getting ganked all the time" but now the first actual gank of a warlord I've seen is drawing a fair bit of ire.

I'm not saying I approve of Peemo's actions! Just pointing out the mixed messaging.
    7. I was thinking the same thing, Scrynor. There's not a ton of context in this log but from the previous log and comment thread it sounds like Jinjarak was deathmarking Peemo. Doesn't that mean she was out to kill Peemo? I don't really understand the ridicule Peemo's getting if Jinjarak would've done the same thing had the scenario been flipped.
    8. The log shows that Peemo was acting under the updated cabal rules of Keeper. If people don't like those new rules you should be bitching at the Keeper imm and not Peemo.
    9. If you read the comments I posted from the previous log, you can clearly see I never deathmarked him, even when I check who you can see he is not deathmarked. I can't speak for any cabal other than being a warlord, but I wouldn't attack someone at 200 hp while they were sleeping, unless we were obviously in the middle of a duel. The great thing is warlords have a built in mechanic to alert people you are coming after them so there is no surprise. After that it is really dependent on the personal rp of the player.

So in this log no I was not out to kill Peemo because I was trying to regain equipment that I lost and since I hadn't challenged him. I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't make these assumptions and generalizations about me since you don't play this character.

I am all for people just jumping out of the wood work and attacking me, if I see a shaman log on, you bet I will wear mal save gear and get ready for it. If an elf paladin logs on I wouldn't expect him to attack me. If a legion logs on same expectation, if a knight logs in I would only think they would attack me if I was anathema. Now with a keeper as I understand it, they would only attack if the cabal was at war or if I was a threat. So now Keepers have the option to attack you now if you are swinging the balance towards war. Which seems to only apply to cabals, I don't know how it would work if you are non caballed and killing a few people a month or even defending yourself against aggressive players. How a keeper carries out these duties is purely up to the player, so silent pk and full loot from them I am sure will go over really well when it happens to you. If you want to justify the actions that I had challenged him to the death, attacked his guild that he was sleeping in I never attacked him while sleeping fyi, him getting the kill already and sacrificing tenors. So this gives him free reign to do it again to prevent war seems flawed. I am going to keep killing you to prevent war seems terribly flawed. What is going to happen when 3 legions are on and a keeper logs on, would the expectation be to take all 3 legions on at once to restore the balance? Or how about justice, they killed criminals and would the keeper go in a get wanted to carry out their duty? Or do they just wait until the perfect opportunity strikes for them to carry out their cabal duty with minimal risk or just quit out.

If the Keeper imm doesn't even announce something is changing to fundamental interactions between players how receptive would they be? Lots of people don't think the keeper cabal should even exist, but they are still here with the ability to silent pk, full loot and if they do die what benefit does the person get?
    10. Meant deathmatch, not deathmark. Sorry. Was referencing how Peemo seemed put off by your deathmatch challenge which I could understand being seen as an act of aggression (i.e., I'm announcing that I'm hunting you down to kill you).
    11. Again you are assuming how someone felt, and again it was something he initially asked for. That was the initial act of aggression. If he was put off by me following through on his original request by in the final installment not actually saying hey im coming for you because a week ago you wanted a duel to the death and it seems like you are dodging me ok sure. But he sure seemed fine with the outcome on both times.
    12. I suppose I should point out I did my post to highlight the counter point. I think people should stop saying "just gank them" when discussing game mechanics. Nobody seems to like ganking, including immortals. Pointing out that ganking is an option is just a distraction from whatever conversation is happening.
    13. I would worry less about what I did and look instead at why I’ve done it.

      @Jin I don't think I'm assuming how Peemo felt.

Peemo: "I enjoy fighting you, not so much the random death challenges without even a spoken word."

Peemo: "Also ganking? Jinjarak randomly issues death challenges to Peemo, regardless of what I am doing so what is the difference? I was attacked while sleeping in a previous log."

Seems pretty cut and dry to me.
    15. Oh, Great God of Blood! That is positively impossible! All writers know that great stories hinge on the actions of Gods but that their motives are unknowable! Unless of course you'd care to sit down for an interview...

      1. Or Militha vs Kryton.
        Or Jinjarak vs Kryton.
