Davairus 1 , 0 , 0 . Xenyar lets not let Resatimm off the hook with that. Dungeons are suppose to be about team work. Which means there should have been an easy way for the other group members to protect the guy out in front from a thing like that. obviously that wasnt the case, which forced the dungeon to be abandoned. it could have continued if there had been a way to prevent it, like by stopping the dispel magic cast for instance. It would've been a mistake that required better preparation or responding better to mechanics. But saves, no that wouldnt work. Dispels work through maxed out saves, so that doesnt properly protect the tank. it shoud be obvious what is wrong. the builder decided redhorne needs a group that can tank it with no sanc.

So yeah...there wasn't any update to this area other than you can recall now apparently. Which would be a change to the betterment of survival. I wouldn't consider that a negative change. Grayden 1 , 0 , 0 . About the time you had 3 soldiers on each side of door drop to two they added another person and dispel to the door after the red dragon.
Davairus 1 , 0 , 0 . The game's been advertised as brains over brawn. That means unavoidable deaths don't fit the description of the game. Things like, for e.g. "oops, walked into no-exit trap. sit and wait to die.", or "dispel the tank on violence update so that there is zero reaction time for healer to prevent 800 damage". there needs to be a mistake you can point to BlackWidow 0 , 0 , 0 . Dav has a good point about brains over brawn. Another point I'd make (this is coming from a former DM in D&D): some amount of fairness is important if you want people to (continue to) play in your little world. The Faction of Magic in Winter is one of the toughest areas in the game, with great rewards available, but it's difficult to obtain them. And that's fine because it's a challenging area in an already difficult section of the game. Raid bosses in Winter like Iggilwiv, the Demoninicon, Baron Addesolim, Nemhhael Gonturan, Rainen, and Yorick all have strategies that can be used to take them down more effectively, and I'd say all six I mentioned can be more difficult if you don't know certain tricks (or have them available).

Kalist19 0 , 0 , 0 . Merlando I don’t think they were doing this dispel stuff when you were there were they? I remember going through with a super group with kaelric ilromie wylsin serra and more. We wiped the floor with it and were talking about how easy it was. Res was like “oh yeah?? You think so?? We will see about that” (insert nervous face) Rhoa 0 , 0 , 0 . I had a couple groups go through Redhorne with Rhoa. Dispels were happening then. Have the healer stay out of combat, and be ready to resanc you, heal, and so on. Who's tanking makes a big difference too. In this log it is a shaman. My adventures there was either me or Alkas(monk) tanking, usually.
