    Is this a ford duel? If it is then you are not the favorite to win. Next fight, something more even, maybe gnome village? there is no way to circle the player completely in gnome village

      It was gnome village. She maybe got one or two ticks off over a 10 minute duel… I think that’s pretty good tracking against someone who knew how to catch ticks. Maybe I’m wrong.

      There, I set up the stun volley so that I'd have time to initiate with an overhead smash and follow-up bash. But I don't think I've ever successfully lagged someone for two rounds with a giant bash, even with the big size class difference here. If I had, the fight would have ended there.

      Umm, why are you measuring bash lag in rounds? each of those "rounds" happen in a moment, and the rest of the fight is dead air. When we say "round" what we really mean is 3 seconds. Bash does not lag for "rounds", it continues to work through the dead air in between rounds . depending on the timing, your bash could lag this player for 5.9 seconds and see only one "round" of combat, which would read exactly the same in this log as if the bash had been really late timed and lagged for only 0.5 seconds. You need to care about how many seconds this bash lasts against individual opponents because everybody has different strength. the hobble is helpful. it increases bash lag by an additional second. and by the way, 5 seconds of lag is very helpful for more reasons than just pinning someone into a death., you also get to deal damage while they dont. it'd be a very cheesy skill if it just lagged everybody dead consistently.

      Yes well, it has nothing to do with attrition battle though. Attrition is where you patiently wear people down which is something healers are really good at, as bw pointed out as well a little. The last time I died as a healer to a fighter was nothing to do with attrition, it was because dirt kick legit screwed me, I lost track of where I was and kept fleeing more and getting further disoriented. the way you can set that up on a healer is simple, make the initial flee harder by fighting in a single exit room. that way the room is much more resistant to fleeing from so theyll spam more flee in to get out

      Shoulda stuck with Leese-breaker and had dual wielded axe from valinor and only change when combat style was changed. Lost tons of dps there with spam swaping to sword.

    Great fight! Bomgrom I could feel the adrenaline at the end there through the log. The adrenaline and desperation when you have 100 hp or less and you’re praying for that huge round with a couple waves.

    Looks like you did a good job of staying on top of her. I had fun fighting Asara with Hardulf. Pretty good at running and healing. A lot harder with a fire war for sure. One thing I’d suggest is when fighting mages or clerics, try running around for a few hours at the start just to mess with their spells. Don’t go into tenacity if you are quick enough - just run around at the start for a bit and wear down their spells a few hrs. Might wind up getting a lucky round with no sanc or a prot shield drop at a nice time. Worst case, you chew through some of their mana a bit.

        Healers aren't easy for evils to take down unless a significant vulnerability is able to be exploited... If it's any consolation, Vanisse beat my Raknos Warlord as Serra even though she was wielding a staff of storms and I was using the mangrove barkskin...

        I'm pretty sure that at the height of her power, Ona was able to survive Valox abducting her - and he was Forsaken of Legion.

          actuallly its not that hard to run in the rift with its 500 directions anyway.. I think much harder to kill healer in the rift than one who is dirt kicked and stuck in an L shape, like a cabal confinement. I mean, we could look up the healer body count to confirm, but I would be surprised if most healer deaths werent just dispels and high burst since their skills lend so well to not fighting in a death trap
