Solmundi arrives through a gate.
Solmundi glares icily at you.
You say to Solmundi 'Hail, dear.'
Valindra is sitting at a leather covered desk regarding herself in the mirror.
Solmundi says 'You have been busy.'
Valindra croaks 'As ever.'
Solmundi says 'Am I interrupting you?'
You say to Solmundi 'No. In fact, I'm glad you're here.'
Valindra sounds like an allusion to her sister.
You say to Solmundi 'I heard you left the Halls of Justice.'

look sol
The eyes of this jotun are filled black with no whites in them. His skin
is the color of overcast skies filled with melancholy. Like a distant and
forsaken watch tower, he stands tall and silent. Muscles disappear into his
armor and it is difficult to tell where the flesh ends and the equipment
begins. Overall he makes no noise or forwards an expression. Always gazing
to what is in front of him.
Solmundi is in excellent condition.
Solmundi is using:
<used as light> (Unidentified) (Glowing) the Iron-Trenched Banner of Justice
<worn around neck> (Unidentified) (Glowing) (Humming) odoacer's badge
<worn on head> a jingly wheel of cheese
<worn on feet> fuzzy bunny slippers
<wielded two-handed> a quarterstaff
<worn as shroud> the soul of Solmundi
<floating nearby> (Unidentified) (Glowing) (Humming) the pouch from hell (open)
<tattooed> (Glowing) a longsword sheathed in everflowing water
Solmundi says 'My business is my own, Herald.'
You say to Solmundi 'I liked it when you shared your business with me.'
Solmundi says 'But let's talk about OUR business.'
Valindra blinks her eyes toadishly, coquettishly.
Valindra croaks 'Let's!'
Solmundi says 'You know what I speak of.'
You stand up.
A tiny wisp named Hibbadibbity steps through the mirror and vanishes!
You step through the mirror and vanish!
The High Herald's Courtyard
| A somewhat spacious and surprisingly peaceful courtyard is
| nearly entirely surrounding you here. A serene sylvan pool

| stones line the ground here between the Travellers Rest foyer
S @ | to the south, and the small courtroom to the north, and a few
| | | rough-cut stone benches serve to allow waiting plaintiffs while
*-S-* | the High Herald is offering judgement in other cases. Several

[Exits: (north) south]
A strange mechanical tripod is here, humming softly.
(Charmed) A tiny wisp hovers here, shedding its essence as it bobs in the air.
A stern-looking bailiff stands here guarding the entrance to the courtroom.
You tell Solmundi 'Join us, won't you?'
Solmundi nods.
poke tripod
A mechanical tripod's plasma arc *** DEVASTATES *** you!
Brrrrrrrrr.
Solmundi looks at A mechanical tripod.
You say to Solmundi 'I planted your seed here.'
You say to Solmundi 'Beneath this tripod.'
You say 'Will it fruit? I was starting to wonder.'
Solmundi says 'What do you expect to happen?'
You say 'Something exciting.'
Valindra winks or blinks her tiny, button-sized eye.
Solmundi says 'What excites you?'
The sun slowly disappears in the west.
Valindra croaks 'You know.'
Solmundi says 'You want a baby.'
The night has begun.
You say 'I want a good story, a little danger.'
You say 'And a baby.'
Solmundi says 'This thing makes babies?'
Valindra juts her chin out defiantly. A little wart has sprouted there.
You say 'I don't know what this thing does.'
Solmundi says 'Yet you allow it in your courtyard.'
You say 'I only know it's making powerful magic that could alter the fabric of Serin.'
Solmundi says 'Uh huh.'
You say to Solmundi 'Does nothing excite you?'
*** An ear-splitting boom is heard as the sky is lit by lightning! ***
Torrents of rain flood through the area.
The sky clears up as the storm's turmoil fades into an abrupt silence.
Valindra rubs her arms briskly. Little motes of flesh stand at attention on her emerald arms.
Solmundi says 'Some things do, but this thing does not.'
You say 'You do not wish to be a father.'
Solmundi says 'I didn't say that.'
You say 'What are you saying?'
You say 'Whatever it is, could you say it upstairs?'
<The pair return upstairs.>
Solmundi walks in.
Solmundi jingles merrily.
You sit down at a leather covered desk.
Valindra is sitting at a leather covered desk regarding herself in the mirror.
Solmundi says 'Are you sure you're ready for motherhood?'
Valindra taps her lip with a stubby, emerald finger.
You say 'No.'
Solmundi says 'Then you probably shouldn't want a baby.'
The Valindra in the mirror smiles slyly.
You say 'Maiden, Mother, Crone.'
You say 'I've done one and three, dear.'
You say 'It's time to make the leap.'
Solmundi sighs.
Solmundi says 'I know what is going to happen.'
You say 'Do you now see the future too?'
Solmundi says 'Don't need too.'
Solmundi says 'Neither do you.'
Solmundi says 'You already know what is going to happen.'
You say 'Tell me.'
You say 'Divinate for me, darling.'
Solmundi says 'Why don't you tell me? and stop pretending to be ignorant.'
You say 'I have already told you what I want. I have answered your questions.'
Solmundi says 'Are you going to get what you want?'
You say 'Have I ever?'
Solmundi says 'Have you?'
The Valindra in the mirror snarls.

You say 'What is the Covenant?'
Solmundi licks his mouth and smiles.
Solmundi says 'Aren't you the High Herald?'
Solmundi says 'Don't your eyes see and read?'
You say 'Do you gather your dead to you like an army?'
Solmundi says 'Do I look like I need an Army?'
You say 'You never let me relax.'
You say 'I am always on my tiptoes with you, Solmundi.'
Solmundi says 'I like it that way.'
Valindra says your name, where she does not often.
Solmundi says 'The Covenant exists in everyone's blood. It calls and soon it will be answered.'
You say to Solmundi 'I am making your heir.'
You say to Solmundi 'Do you not want a little prince to seal this pact?'
You say to Solmundi 'This . . . Covenant?'
Solmundi says 'By the gods, woman.'
Solmundi says 'I don't need a child to seal anything.'
You say to Solmundi 'Or do you fear that an heir would slay you?'
Solmundi lets out a hearty laugh.

Solmundi says 'That would never happen.'
Valindra rubs her emerald arms briskly.
You say to Solmundi 'Do not let your fear control you.'
Solmundi sighs.
Solmundi says 'Trust me, that is not a fear I have.'
The Valindra in the mirror sighs even more dramatically.
Solmundi says 'How is your husband by the way?'
You say 'We are estranged.'
Solmundi says 'Oh no.'
You say 'I am sure it tortures you.'
Solmundi says 'So who are you shacking up with now?'
look hibba
A tiny fey hovers delicately in the air before you, trailing motes of
wisp essence behind it like a tail. Prismatic, the creature traps the light
as if it were a gem, shining, then evanescing, between shades of white,
purple, and green--the latter a color not often seen in the species. The
creature caroms through the air like a maniacal hummingbird before alighting
on the shoulder of its goblin master. The wisp has sprouted tufts of
reddish hair from its ears, which smoke slightly. A diadem with a
misshapen, watery globe adorns its brow.
A tiny wisp named Hibbadibbity is in excellent condition.
A tiny wisp named Hibbadibbity snores loudly.
Solmundi says 'Not really, just curious as to who you are moving on too.'
You say 'You think so little of me then?'
Solmundi says 'I didn't say that.'
You say 'You implied it though.'
Solmundi says 'I implied more than you see.'
You say 'Why must you speak in riddles?'
Solmundi says 'But let me spell it out for you. The people in your life matter to you and to me.'
Solmundi says 'They're going too anyway.'
Solmundi says 'So I must KNOW.'
You say 'What must you know, Solmundi? I will tell you.'
Solmundi says 'Okay, tell me.'
Valindra drums her exquisitely manicured nails against the desk. She leaves perfect score marks in her wake.
Solmundi smiles happily.
You say to Solmundi 'I am glad to see you, at least.'
Solmundi sighs.
Solmundi says 'I am glad to see you as well.'
A grey sphere of light envelopes Solmundi then dissipates.
