  1. We skirmished a lot, back and forth, but Temur started playing really safe after coming close to death a couple of times, so I had to start taking some punches and rely on my passive to finish him off when he got killhorny enough.

    Didn't expect this to get this close/lucky.

    Good fight nevertheless, thumbs up Temur for all the fights we had, I only had this one logged sadly.

    1. The murder spams lol.
      There should really be some kind of penalty for spamming murders in a room, like a half round delay or something. Its way too cheesy in my opinion.
      1. Its not that beneficial, most of the time the one who enters the room with pre-typed murder has the upper hand when it comes to getting the initial round.
      2. How can that be. If thats the case, you wouldnt be staying in the room spamming murder, would you?
      3. I spam murder in the room because I know he is going to enter with pre-typed murder, so my only chance is to spam, hoping for the initial blow.

        If you think how it works though: There's a good amount of delay between each command still, so I have really high odds of murdering air before he enters the room, but when he enters with pre-murder, he is always guaranteed to land it instantly upon entering if I have wrong timing.
      4. Actually, nevermind, I'm talking about something completely different here, I just realized AR has a decent move-delay built-in now, which means the pre-murder is slower than spammed murder.

        You are right, it should not be like that. It used to be different back in the glory days from what I remember.
      5. Yeah. Thats my experience so far. The person spamming murder in the room always gets the initiation in all the encounters i have.
      6. It is not easy to fix though; countering the murder spam is easy by adding in-game lag/movecost/whatever, but people can just set up triggers/actions within game client to auto-murder their target as they enter the room, which is still faster than enter+murder...

        Although I always found the initial "extra round" to be seriously broken as it can cause a lot of random RNG luck that throws battles around with little to no skill used.
      7. Well, i agree that its not easy to really 'fix' it. But anything is still better than allowing anyone to spam murders in the room with no penalties. Murder spams is far worse than setting triggers to auto murder because at least trigger murders is reactive and can only trigger upon receiving data from server that target has entered the room which will allow the opponent that has chained movement + murder commands have a higher chance of initiation. I believe that the person chasing into the room should be rewarded for tracking in.
      8. you guys are hilarious! lol always complaining. no one thinks shit through. so what happens when you are chasing someone who is balls to the walls running and like 15 hp from dead. he isn't going to recall because that got nerfed due to complaining. so you are like 1 room away run in attempt to murder and he walks out just as you hit enter and miss. oh input lag and he gets away. to do anything to murder would just remove it from the game. no one would initiate with it anymore. how would you initiate than if you can't murder? charge trip bash what ever. than can't spam because input lag right? sheesh. this argument is just silly to me.
      9. also what log are you guys reading??? how does spamming murder even relate to this. I just went through the entire log and tenure had by far more initiates than jargoth. by a count of about 32 to 12. so I really don't see how jargoth spamming murder did anything for him. if we go by your argument than temur should have won hands down! Instead jargoth out damaged him with his second and third round attacks. like 70% of his damage was from the rounds after the Initiate.

You cant see from this log how jagroth was cheesing murder spams to get off the initiate, which always put the opponent that is chasing into the room at a great disadvantage. Haha, i bet you are also another one who cheeses this. No wonder you are so opposed to this. Pk should not favor the person spamming murders in a room, cause it is simply unfair to the person that is chasing in. Murder commands are just as effective as any skill based initiators like bash or dirt. The reason why people do not spam these skill initiators because it will lag the user if the opponent enters mid spam, i believe that murder should have a similar penalty.
      11. lol, I am so confused, jagroth did not win by getting all the murders off, he won from out damaging him in the 2nd round and 3rd round of combat. Temur was the one who had 75% of the intiates, and he did it while jagroth was spamming murder, read the log, actually read it, its like we are fighting over two different logs. temur had over 32 initiates, jagroth had 12-14, jagroth did not win because of spamming murder. All you ever complain about is not being able to finish someone off, you always seem to be the aggressor and complain about people being good at defending their lives. you should really try to adapt your play style instead of just trying to change the game to your advantage.
      12. And yes, if you must know it is one of the ways I handle combat, but I don't rely on it. I have been playing this game for 20 years, there is plenty of ways to fight.
      13. Whether jagroth won or not by spamming murders is besides the point here. I am simply highlighting this point of murder spams because i personally feel that its spammable nature is unfair in comparison to the other types of combat initiators and i have listed the reasons why. I am being objective here. If you wish to continue this discussion perhaps you could reason why you do not agree with the points i put across instead of using personal attacks. I dont care if you have played this game for 20 years. It all boils down to whether you win or not, years dont matter.

    2. To me that should have been a double death. I do not see how you can survive at 2 hp without sanctuary. Was Temur out of stance or something? He was only getting 3 attacks with a murder?

    3. all you have said is that you think it's cheese. over and over. in regards to a log that it's now not pertaining too? now I'm really confused. and you could spam charge to the same effect. I just don't understand how it's cheese. he was spamming and temur still managed to get most of the initiates. therefore all I can ascertain is that you personally fall to this tactic which just means you are butt hurt. really makes me sad that this amazing log of a fight that shouldn't have even have went to the paladin got tainted with all this crap.
      1. Lol clearly you cant even read the log right. The times when you thought jagroth was spamming murder but got initiated by temur was because he lagged himself by curing before spamming murder. This happened alot of times in this log. During the times when he truly was spamming murder, temur had no chance to inititiate at all. Charge spam is nothing compared to murder spams because charge lags for 2 rounds and still has a high chance of missing despite mastery whereas murder gives you a free round of attacks with only 1 round lag. Murder initiation is an important factor in this game because a lucky round can mean the difference between killing or dieing. This is why i am being so critical about these game mechanics while all you think about is 'yeah this guy is bitching again because he wants to change things in his favor'. What i am suggesting here applies to everyone, it does not favor a particular class i play or whatsoever. No system is perfect, its only through constructive feedback and unbiased implementation and changes that things will get better. Just coz no one has campaigned for such changes before doesnt mean that its a bad change. If you truly think that murder spams make sense then i guess there is nothing else left to discuss.

    4. it's just funny to me that you get so worked up over this. murder is the only thing that extends to all race class combinations. it is the only even ground in the entire game. the best part is avoiding murder spam is also probably the easiest thing in the game to counter too. Thus my argument. you are just complaining over personal shit. it's not game play issues. it's you.

        1. What has this log got to do with murder spamming in the room to get combat initiations? Is your mind working right? Dont expect every class to have the counter skill to counter murders. Because there is no way to prevent murder spam initiations except to not go into the room at all. But that defeats the whole point of chasing, no? Unless you are telling me that the game is designed such that its meant to favor the person spamming murder in the room while the other party comes in for engagement and gets murdered, then i rest my case. For goodness sake, please stay on point here and stop bringing in irrelevant references.
        2. well, I guess I really cant show you how murder spamming isn't the end all be all. every time I show you how it can be beaten you'll just say that isn't relevant, so I guess you can just sit here and complain, considering this isn't any where near the proper channels to come across any means of change what so ever.         3. also, it really is as simple as not running into the room. You do realize that right? If they are spamming murder, they are not running away. The only time that someone is un full blown flee mode, and they stop to spam murder is when they are out of moves or trapped. that's it, that is such a small part of the whole fight. the rest of the fight though if they are spamming murder than you are completely free to not walk into the room, catch ticks, heal, do anything, because they are just sitting there spamming murder and not doing any of the aforementioned shit. If they notice you are not coming right in after about 3-5 spammed murders they WILL come to you. There is a lot more to get around it too, but that is the only one I am going to give to you for free. try thinking outside the box a little instead man its such a open game, it is literally unending strategies through tricks and gimmicks and skills

      2. So much hype over this. Some facts

        1. Spamming murders in a room will definitely get you the first attack considering same latency.
        2. Counter skill as a couterplay is inconsistent. It did not even happen even once through the entire log.
        3. I didn't really care because monks outheal paladins. If he was going to spam murders, i'll just heal.

        It is true that there are many things you can do to outplay that murder spam, it is just harder for Non healing classes to outplay it.

        If paladin heals their entire mana pool and uses spam murder to get initiation off all the time, the warrior will most likely lose. But these are very specific scenarios and circumstances.

        I'm pretty mixed with murder spams, I think it is fine though. Pros and cons to it. But this huge chain of debate is pretty interesting!

        1. murder spam can be essential to finishing a fight....i mean i would be pissed if all of a sudden someone ended up in a room with only one exit and i stood on the other side spamming murder and somehow magically missed that murder spam...
