From the windows, to the walls. All I remember is cleaning and cleaning
for the family I was sold to. My mother and father could not afford to feed
all of their children and I was deemed expendable. My elven mother had an
affair with a son of man and my elven father never accepted me as his own.
I understood from an early age that being different was something I would
learn to adapt and grow stronger from. From the age of five all I could
remember is being treated less than how I valued myself. Until one day, an
old man with dry and weathered features took interest in me. He made me
feel as if my life mattered and suggested that I observe the animals in the
forest to learn their skills. I studied the cranes at the river's edge, the
tigers hiding in the bush. Even the vicious and unrelenting praying mantis
and the loveable pandas playfully living carefree. This old man
effectively rescued me from a life of servitude and unimportance. I
still hear his voice echoing within my mind. Make this life not for you,
but for the legacy you wish to leave behind. With such inspiration in my
heart, I will live true to his words.
Description (commended):
The woman before you is tall and thin with slender shoulders. At first
glance she seems to be rather plain and unappealing. Her light brown hair
is tied in a bun held together with twisted vines adorned with seashells.
Through the side of the bun is a pink rose and two wooden chopsticks. Her
forehead represents her human side with a furrowed brown and wrinkles above
the bridge of her nose. A strange dichotomy revealing her mixed race is the
left side of her body appears to be more elfin than human. Her left eye is
a brilliant green, while her right eye is a plain brown. Her left ear is
pointed to the heavens while her right ear is round. To accentuate her
features, you see tattoos on the right side of her face. Starting at the
center of her forehead where her hairline begins, tiny stars and hearts of
varying colours are permanently inked down to her shoulders. On the left
side of her face, you see a red dragon with fearsome claws and a long tail
that seems to disappear behind her and between her shoulder blades. She has
tiny freckles on her cheeks and her supple lips are painted a light pink.
Tiny diamonds are placed within her dimples.

Whatever the strategy of monk vs supreme eq warrior is I don't have it. It was really disappointing to get beaten so easily, and that really sapped any motivation to play. i was looking forward to monk forms, glad I got to experience it. Hopefully we get some logs of xhao fighting Kryton and showing me what I did wrong.
Do you think you would've fared better as a human instead of half-elf? Do you have a preference?

This was a calculated decision. Half-elf monks can solo or tank almost anything. So I opted for half-elf. when I was getting beat badly by Thandus and kryton I was thinking would a human fare better, and to be honest it wouldn't surprise me if it would. I struggled so much with half-elf rangers rather than beast rangers seemed like an easy button so that was a regular thought when these fights weren't competitive at all. Kryton says I am doing something obviously wrong, not really sure what it is, but monks just aren't my thing. I am sure in more capable hands, they can really shine.

I have rolled a couple monks that went nowhere and I was always torn between human and half-elf. And then seeing Quinace's success halflings have me curious too. This was helpful insight, thanks.
