== Journal entry #29 ==
Today I bid farewell to my friends and family in Drkshtyre. They held a
grand going-away party for me and by the end of it I had a heavy heart.
While it is long past time for me to venture out across the land to stake my
own place in this world of ours, what kind of creature would I be if I
didn't have at least some nostalgia for my youth and my upbringing. The
party was filled with laughter and cheer, with good food and good friends.
Dedric had too much mead again and started picking on Rondol. It was an
uneven fight, Dedric being three years older and 30 pounds heavier, so I
felt the need to step in and even the match. It wouldn't be my farewell
party without me making my typical impact of balancing the world around me.
Tomorrow, I head north to see what adventures lay ahead of me.
Journal Entry #44
My latest travels have taken me to a dark, cavernous space I had never
hear of back at home. I fear I may have overstepped my capabilities while
exploring this place. Everywhere through the cavern were... Spiders.
Spiders of all sorts. Big and small, hairy and sleek, and all of them ugly.
Webs criss-crossed the tunnels at every turn, and I became helplessly lost.
At some point I must have fallen and banged my head, for I don't remember
how I eventually got out. But escape I did, and here I write now. But,
something feels... Off. I feel like the time I caught the Demea Flu from
Baskins at school. My head hurts, my muscles ache, and for some strange
reason my teeth are killing me. I am hoping not a tooth rot.
I shall find a quiet grove somewhere and get a good night's rest, see if
that helps. Maybe even venture into Seringale a buy a cot for the night to
get some real quality rest. Get rid of whatever virus this is in a pinch!
Journal entry #45
I am feeling no better than I did last night. At least, I think it was
last night when I wrote last, but... My head feels like it has been hit by
a rock and my body feels like I've been sleeping for days. And I can't
explain exactly but I think I keep hearing... Something.... Inside my
head. I must have fallen in those caves and hit my head harder than I
thought. Some more rest, and maybe I'll feel bet-grrAHHCKGGKC AHHHH IT
FEELS GOOD TO BE FREE GGGKKGRahhHHHhkkk
Description:
The man before you is tall and lean, with a muscular yet slim frame held
erect by perfect posture. His is the body of a swimmer or a long-distance
runner - exceptionally fit but bereft of unnecessary weight that would limit
mobility or flexibility. His forearms are knotted with muscles and sinew
like the branches of an ancient oak tree. The muscles continue up his arms
to his shoulder and along to his chest, back, and torso. He has more body
hair than your typical human and the hairs are taught and spiky.
I had grand plans for this guy in the beginning but then couldn't wrap my head around how to implement. Basically the first ever Raknos Keeper, was going to play him as a Jekyll/Hyde thing were when transformed he was more evil than anything but when in human form was more neutral and true to his Keeper direction. The balance between sanity/insanity and human/raknos would be an extension of his life's purpose from before he was bitten, which was basically to bring balance to the world around him.
Already on to my next!
