Smash
The life of this one-eyed creature begins many years ago in a time where few would understand the need of war and blood, honor and courage and most of all, the time of magic and possession. Here we stand lurking in the shadows observing, waiting and watching from afar. Emerging in our visions this young one-eyed child was splashing in the rivers causing a tremendous amount of noise and displacing all the fish. Laughing in such a silly manner other animals joined in on the fun. But one fatal smash saw the one-eyed child in tears from the blood he caused as his giant fist came down on the head of grizzly bear seeking out the fish. As he began to understand his strength and power he quickly realized the responsibility he had to always be in control of his emotions and not fall victim to the powerless pleasures of the land. We look forward to the next edition to this young child and his maturity.

Description:

The living mountain before you seems to stretch to the sky. Standing nearly twenty feet tall, this giant made of stone creaks and groans as each rock moves into place. His natural rock color is a smoky mahogany hue complimented by his soft hazel eyes that seem to turn green in the sun. He has broad shoulders and extremely large hands. He has a slight crick in his neck where his head is tilted and you see his mouth agape with stone teeth chiseled down so sharp similar to that of a vampire.

shouldn't roll a warrior to have good time, warriors are shit vs invokers, shamans and DKs e.g. the currently most OP classes.

Warriors are just fine against invokers, you were just shitty fighting them as Szrevan because you don't know how to improvise. People keep saying invokers are OP, when they're not even bothering to flee from the meteor swarms and eat all four waves... Conundo and one of the duergar warriors in the Warlords both taught me meteor swarm is a bad idea against a smart opponent when I was playing Karea. Conundo in particular was good at weaving in and out between the swarms, which meant I basically gave him free murders.

I'm inclined to disagree, @BlackWidow. Most classes have at least one hard counter. I think for warriors that's invokers. No offense, but no competent invoker is going to use Meteor Swarm in the middle of a fight when they can just buff up, channel a storm, and hunt you down with hellstream. If they want to conserve mana, then they'll use icicles versus warriors, fire versus most everything, and lightning if someone hasn't stacked their mental saves.

I do think warriors do fine against shamans and DKs though.

invokers may seem pretty good against the ice vuln of fire warriors but I don't really see all warriors struggling against icicles like that... also invokers are going to do better specifically vs fire giant warriors because ice shield procs on flee /murder will chew on them harder than usual, probably wont be icicles that wins this
              6. He beat me because of his weapon choices. Had he of used icicles, or, not the weapons from Valour at the beginning, he would have outdamaged me too much for me to sustain.

BlackWidow, you must be more clueless than you look...

Let me explain: Szrevan never ate any meteor swarms, warrior vs invoker fights are basically just pulling the slot machine lever and hoping you hit enough extra/offhand attacks to out-damage their nukes. That's basically all. Sure, now with "new" overhead you have something to do, but back then there was nothing. You could see how fully decked out Kryton woulda lost to Zatoke if it was not for overhead, right?

Also, Conundo was duergar fighting pre-buffed invokers, where invokers were literally their weakest they have been in AR.

VS DKs you just get spammed to death by fireballs if you ever fight w/o mobs in room and they hit harder than you with a weapon? I had plenty of fights vs DKs on fully decked Szrevan and even when played perfectly, it's always such a huge gamble and close win.

Shamans are just gonna gimp you badly because you need million saves vs mental/male or you gonna have a bad time and then you will just be out-damaged by them anyway unless you're fully decked out vs clueless shaman. Any good shaman should eat warriors for dinner.

Idk if you even play the game or just unable to analyze it...

Berserker is just much better vs anything, because you have some actual utility with roar, headbutt and not to mention rage to just dunk on anyone careless enough. Or even rangers, because their pure skirmish murder/flee damage is higher and that extra herb allows to actually out-survive the damage-race.

No offense, I feel like a lot of the balance shit I read last few years has been people hitting badass vulns and saying class X is broke, or this and that. vulns increase damage by a LOT, and anything that increase your damroll (even just berserk, but including rage) is going to make that damage even higher. anybody can post a log of a fire berserker raging on an illithid psi and say psis suck. meanwhile fire giants have the worst AC and get smoked by high damroll w/ vulns way worse than gnomes to bash damage even. So there ends up people on both sides saying they're both too good and they really suck ... seems more like it depends if someone wielded a 7/7 icicle with 50 damroll that day

Szrevan fought in probably the best gear available in game, no vulns, decent saves and fully trained. I would lead with murders and flee, the usual. The outcome? Just a gamble if my extra attacks proc enough to outdamage the invoker and if so he would just instantly word and reset.

I got bored of the char and the game simply because it was braindead, mind-numbing "pk" for 2+ hours literally pressing 1 button and watching opponent word each time you managed to out-damage them or you run laps if your RNG failed and they managed to outdamage you.

0 usable skills, 0 tactics or 0 mechanics in play. Definition of snooze.

Szveran deleted before the patch that updated berserkers, too, twerpalina. Subtle but effective changes, you have simply not tried the game to still have updated information on the impact of dirt kick on a berserker. He cannot simply rage/bo to get out of being dirt kicked anymore.

As for the word of recall spell, player feedback about track (your wishlist suggestion) has been positive. I do have a couple new ideas in mind, but I'll keep them mostly to myself for the time being... I'm waiting for Loukas to accept my generous offer before I bulldoze his bat cave and set one of those in place.

kalist, im talking about warriors as someone who actually spent hundreds of hours playing one, pointing out the ever so obvious to anyone who bothers to think for a moment about how dull it is to play one vs classes that you cant use any of your skills against. Go find your mask.

twerpalina you said in another thread that mages should just wear hp items, whereas warriors have 1000 hp without any. Lets suppose the mage did. getting 400 hp of hp items is not easy, to begin with, and I expect this leaves mage vs warrior starting out looking like a pimply high school virgin with base 18 hit/20 damroll and..second attack, with an enchanted dagger, vs badass warrior rambo guy with 50-60 damroll, defensive saves maxed, dual wielding flails, warcry, berserk, 3-4 attacks a round, similar hp, and on the defensive side, add dodge, riposte and dual parry. Brains over brawn, we say. its kind of hard to believe that the bookworm casting hellstreams outpace all things warriors do, when we have all played the mages ourselves and received first hand experience of a simple flee/murder spam (costing zero mana) doing so much more damage than the fireball spell, which you have to wait until the warrior is in the room to use. I think this is already miserable and mages are already cutting it very close to unplayable classes unless the warrior makes some big mistakes, and sticking around in a fight where RNG went terribly is one of those mistakes, which if you are on tilt, you will do.

Anyways. Was there a specific skill you want to work vs spellcasters? it seemed before like you got the most frustrated by their escape, not by command denial. this means you were winning, right? from the mage point of view, if you want to do something other than flee murder which isn't completely kicking my ass (dirt kick for example) I'm happy to have you do that. but as soon as lag skills are hitting then I might as well log out and find another hobby.
              18. I disagree, I felt invincible as a invoker with massive hp and nuke spells. 90hp heal from your shield popping is a great too, but maybe an unnecessary bonus.

Dav, I can only speak from experience, but the new invoker is dishing out more damage than you can counter as a warrior, usually. But then again, warrior is all about the slot machine attacks landing and if they do land, invoker can just flee / word anyway.

Dirt kick is useless, you lose extra round or two of murders, tried that several dozen times too.

Berserkers are just far better suited vs any caster, roar and headbutt are too sweet of an utility. Warrior literally has nothing but spam murders trying to win the damage contest and nothing to keep the invoker in fight once he does win that contest.

A skilled, setted invoker in todays setting should never be able to die to a warrior, there's just no mechanics to outplay that matchup for a warrior, simple as that. Warrior does good vs classes that he can utilize weapon/combat advantage against and use his skills. Take that away and it becomes quite pointless.

Also, mania is far more reliable extra attack than 4th attack that literally procs once a day if lucky :D

one thing at a time. if its word of recall then we can focus on that, but there's no point to try to think of something for recalling to timaran if whats chapping your ass is that you can't silence invokers

Twerp did you ever dual flails/whips to try to lash them to death? That’s what I did with my old warlords to kill people with prot shield.

Re the “I was so bored” thing, you deleted at a time when there were people who were able to kill you and coming at you. Just didn’t seem like a time to be bored.

Also channel is fixed now so ice storm doesn’t double proc on initiation/recast during combat. That was a real pain in Skeggi’s ass.

Re: wah, the mage keeps recalling: that’s the trade off of being a warlord. That’s always been the trade off. You have to either lash them to death or figure out where their hometown is and try to fight near there. If you’re not a warlord there’s a chance you can recall to hometown and just chase them down (see Skeggi vs Dwiggans log).

Lash, like other warlord abilities requires combat superiority, which does not work vs weapon ward.

And yes, I was fucking bored, I don't care who was coming, there was nobody at the time besides one invoker who would ONLY fight far away from his recall spot so he could always have 100% easy escape. And that was the epitome of boredom to the point where I'd just fucking suicide to be done with it all.

Lowkey hinting that I deleted because someone was coming to kill me lol? I died several times, lost my set several times, always crawled back to it against the odds, woulda welcomed the challenge but you can only play one class/game for so long before it becomes uninteresting.

Also the retarded bullshit from ignorant apes whining about whatever Szrevan was doing 24/7 got annoying. There's better games out there for me to utilize my intellectual superiority than deal with the bullshit from bigmouthed ignorant muricans with an IQ of a bar stool, it's highly depressing having to justify any of my actions because completely backward assholes are a bunch of whiny biased bitches.

That's all. Warriors are still shit and relying on pulling a slot machine lever vs anything that rocks weapon ward/prot shield and that's just uneventful gameplay for a class that's supposed to have a skill ceiling.

                Never gonna play again.

Honestly, you and Shaggy made your beds on this one twerpalina, you guys both went hard mode on joining Warlords, its been pointed out. That is not a bad decision, and its a very respectable one. but just have healthy awareness that these choices were limiting and pain points were not exclusively caused by those class choices, which are participants in a multi player game where gangbangs happen. a warrior with a shaman is a group strong enough to fight 2v4 ragtag due to the heals, summons and dispels covering the warriors shortcomings, while the warrior can just do tons of damage and tank everything which the shaman wouldnt do very well on their own. If you intended to play the strongest possible "soloer" then I think a warrior can be a perfectly wrong choice. An example, paladins have the best of both classes warrior and shaman, with a heavenly wrath that curses and saps moves, just what you needed. ironically, the mages seems like the best soloers for level 50. If you have ideas to throw for warriors I'm always going to be listening but I think we see there are other classes that might fit better and we shouldn't make mages unviable either. Probably ranger would be better than berserker for you, specifically
