My journey begins as a young child abandoned in the streets of the Unlit
city. I am not of noble birth, my family cast me away as they already had
too many mouths to feed. As a young child I learned to hide and sneak about
picking up trash and eating the scraps left behind in the taverns of the
above ground cities. From the shadows I savored the smell of fresh baked
bread, or grilling meat from the butchers. I dreaded each night how I must
return home below ground in the shadows waiting and waiting for a sign. My
calling finally came on a normal day of scavenging through the trash when I
came across a crumpled letter from the Commander. He was looking for new
recruits to take arms against the criminals throughout the lands. I
remembered vividly the hustlers and thieves back home terrorizing peaceful
patrons and back stabbing them at every opportunity. I made a vow to myself
to learn the ways of a criminal to better anticipate their moves and
understand how their minds work. I feel into a deep abyss, but managed to
find the pale moon to guide my orderly heart. That moon turned blood red
and I began to feel a deep fire ignite within me. The call to bathe in the
blood of lawless criminals beckons strongly as my sharpened daggers lay
ready and waiting.
Description:
The statuesque beauty before you, haunts your dreams and controls your
nightmares. As your eyes begin to tear and a cold embrace of fear washes
over you. Your vision clears and a you see flowing white hair, that lays
gently just below her shoulders. Her buxom breasts allow for the curls at
the end of her hair to rest gently. She has a tight braid, held with the
shadowy skull fragments of a baby dragon. You notice her soulless eyes
staring back through you, the whites of her eyes are complimented by tiny
rouge irises. Her pale skin and thin nose harness her true beauty with soft
pillowy lips. Her top lip beckons you while her slightly smaller bottom lip
frightens you away. As you try to control your breath you inhale the sweet
scent of vanilla and rose water emanating from her. As you struggle to keep
your wits about you, you notice her tiny waist. Her long legs seem to
stretch into a dark abyss ending with a trail of blood and flesh.
I am very sorry to see this! I really liked you, and was hoping we would have many adventures together. I thought you were a great fighter and really fast on your feet.
So log is posted of the last fight. I was really hopeful with the scourge weapon coming through but it was really a hinderance more than anything else. Unfortunately, the real weapon I wanted was from the Darken beast because when his punches do more damage than my weapon uuggggghhhhhh. Fighting Elf Paladins and paladins in general was such an uphill battle and yet again I find myself on the wrong side of the fight.
A couple of things, I really enjoy shadows and went justice again for the sweet powers and since a lot of the same people were still wanted I was hoping to get a bit of revenge. But the same bs that follows me regardless came around as usual.
1. Who ever the immortal was that made me the leader of the donut squad, that seriously fucked with my character. This was a character I really wanted to do well with and put in effort to be successful. I don't know why you guys do this kind of crap, but that really took away from what I was trying to do. Vanisse your note was helpful in trying to regain what I had lost but once the elf paladin storm hit, I was done.
2. Since the whole immortal cheating thing I was curious to see what had changed. In my opinion nothing has from a player feel stand point. The same clicks still exist, same power ranking groups and same pk clicks.
What I will say is some of you really went out of your way to help me. Grimple and Herrata you guys were amazing, Aderroth, sorry about the name spelling but you guys went above and beyond. I almost felt like we had an OOC thing going LOL.
I'd like to think I would have stuck it out longer if it wasn't for Elf Paladins, but my god that got old really really fast. To me its like fighting a raged zerker who doesn't miss any hits any rounds, and has no weakness during the fight. I really tried to capture as much as a could fighting Elves, but I can see why all the evils stopped playing. They just made elf paladins and my dumbass just gave them someone to fight instead of making one of my own.
Yup. I died in 3 rounds, that's how fun it was fighting them. I can't even move because he spam lightning charge while I was running and you just die trying to find your way to a good align mob but you can't move. The shadow has to be on the defensive and if he wins a fight and catches you, that's it game over, you won't even make it to the good align mob.
Yeah you caught me trying to hide and it was over. I couldn't even run to heal. You were so far away when you caught me with lightning charge. If you were seeing my screen, I had a trigger for ghostwalk when my health dropped below a certain amount and when I fled from your first lightning charge, my ghostwalk didn't even have time to go up before your 2nd lightning charge came in. That was how awesome it felt. Constant demolish with a holy avenger. I was so decked and I can't even demolish. Whatever man.

Isnt high damage because you didnt sanc up? Also this is a skill which vanish should be countering pretty easily unless somebody nerfed it dead in the last seven years. Why dont you use vanish. Is that a useless skill nowadays. or set a decoy?

I found vanish cooldown just depends on your adrenaline at the time you use it. That much is very reasonable. It looks like a good option on the strength of that. It makes sense to just not allow spamming vanish. However, 10 seconds of lag to move an average of 4 rooms. Half the time you use it, its worse than that.

Yeah. I tested every paladin spec PRE-launch carefully, and recruited others to do the same. It was weak at launch, and now it is arguably top tier pk'ing. Forgive me if I'm sounding offensive under the circumstances, but quite frankly, people get butthurt, and throw salt. Nobody ever got wrecked and then sat at their keyboard thinking, ah man, dirt kick. What a work of art that dirt kick skill is.
Everyone's pretty divided on elf pallies, no middle ground. Seems to me pretty easy to fuck over for any class with summon. You know how you beat an elf pally with a drow shadow. You strangle and assassinate them and vanish/run when it fails. Pallies are FUCKED against hidden targets. I thought Kremina was interesting and fun to watch and interact with. The rage delete really sucks, but I've been there.
I really, really wish you hung in there. I was going to be a great friend and ally to you. I had no idea you were Ozaru and even if I knew, it wouldn’t have meant anything to me (ie I don’t have any motivations against you as a player, I think you contribute a lot to the game). Maybe on the next go around!

Oh I totally agree with that. Fighting is way more fun than sitting on your bum. Nobody can fault an evil justice for being aggressive! I liked the ballsy move of taking on that goodie leveling group - that was a high risk situation for sure. I purposely wanted to be neutral so I could be friendly but if I was evil I’d like to think I’d be just as aggressive as you and hopefully almost as successful! I think you are getting better with each shadow - they are definitely a tough class to play and entirely different than the days of “ninja assassinate spam with goblin short sword”.
As a player, I'm going to miss having you around. You brought a real sense of unease to the realms, in a good way, and I was waiting for the day that something seemed worth dying over to get a good fight with you.
I also wish you had stuck it out (not only for the joy of seeing a drow brought low) but because the game clearly isn't sustainable with pallys super buff like this and changes seem to be afoot. Now you've missed your chance for revenge. Standing in the face of hardship (or inacting for a while) often molds your character into someone memorable.
I liked the way we interacted and I was looking forward to seeing what else you had planned after that assassination while we were ranking. I had the chance to observe that last fight through Ciradan's eyes and I was looking forward to some light gloating next time I saw you.
Now I guess its just another obit. :( Good luck next time.

Honestly and coming from a legitimately non-trolling perspective, it just seems to me that Ozaru you consistently have something to complain about that leads to you deleting. There's always SOMEthing that someone else has done or not done to do you wrong that forces you to throw your hands up in the air and delete. Before I even read Dav's point about you saying a few weeks back "don't change a thing about eradicators", that came to my mind as well. You might have more fun here (and maybe be a happier person in real life?) if you change your perspective to worry less about what other people do and more to how you react to the world around you. "Grant me the ability to accept the things I cannot change, the courage the change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference". You have no control over the world around you...you can only control how you react to the world around you.
I liked this character from my interactions and hated them from an RP standpoint. Not saying you did anything wrong RP wise, just that we were on opposing sides, so my character had to hate you. Shake off the dust and try something new. Hell you think Elf eradicators are OP then jump on the wagon and make one.
For the official public record, I was not the "donut squad" offender (even though I was accused openly, and even though the funny title was most easily attributed to something I would do).
Also for official public record, when I interact with someone in-character, that doesn't mean I (the player) mean what I (the character) said about you (the player); it usually is directed at you (the character). This isn't just for Ozaru, but for everyone. If I say something to you and it's meant to be directed at the player, I will either clarify the difference or more often transfer you to an imm room if it's a conversation we need to have OOC. Most, if not all, other interactions are Vhrael's roleplay as a trickster/asshole.
With that said, I hope our next interaction doesn't involve you blowing up in my face over allegations and whatnot. The OOC abuse that was taking place did not involve me, and it has been addressed, and that should be the last anyone talks about it.
Roll your next character. Legion needs more members to fight all these elf pally fuckers.
I really enjoyed all of my interactions with this character. Thanks for always being down for a fight, as well as talking over strategy while remaining in RP. Good times when we were just chilling in the Monastery, talking about the state of combat. I look forward to the next character that you roll.
