Linisan was not large as a boy. He was not fast. He was not overly
handsome. He was not popular. He was not charming. He was, however, very
smart, very devious, and a very quick learner. These boons did little to
save him from the regular beatings and torment he received at the hands of
his older siblings. For his entire childhood he was lorded over by his
brother, Jolas, and his sister, Rithi. Their parents never intervened.
They were too preoccupied with their business of trading exotic wares to
spend much time getting involved in children's disputes.
So it was that Linisan grew up angry, impotent, and at the absent mercy of
his older siblings. There is only one word to adequately describe such a
childhood: chaos. The constant beatings and torment did not defeat
Linisan's spirit. Instead they strengthened his resolve. He vowed to find
a way to overpower and subdue them. He would eventually bring order to his
life.
He knew that brute force would never be his solution. He was too small and
too weak. What, then? Magic. It had to be magic, but not just any kind of
magic. Invokers wield the power to destroy. Healers wield the power to
preserve. Illusionists wield the power to deceive. He sought the power to
fully control others. The best way he could think of this was through the
dark art of necromancy, for who has more control over another than a
necromancer over their minions?
It just so happened that their parents were purveyors of powerful artifacts
and the most powerful artifact in their possession was the tome of a great
necromancer. He snuck into the shop one night when he was sixteen winters
old. He cracked the tome and saw vivid images and swirling glyphs. Without
any training in the art he should not have been able to decipher a single
cantrip. Something inexplicable happened though, and for some reason he was
able to understand the complex phrases and images within.
Perhaps he was chosen by some dark creature whose spirit was bound to the
tome, or perhaps there was something special or sinister about Linisan. It
is unlikely that the real truth will ever be known. What is known, however,
is that with the powers granted to him by his newfound art he was able to
kill his siblings and capture their souls. To this very day he possesses
them and infuses them into the golems that he creates.
Thus it is that Linisan has subjugated his siblings, that they must obey his
every command. Now he seeks to bring order into the lives of others - to
all Serins, and to stamp out chaos wherever it festers.
Description:
This human has a particularly sinister appearance. He is taller than an
average man, though he has narrow shoulders and a slight build. His narrow
face is framed with shoulder length, wavy black hair that is parted in the
middle. He has thin, black eyebrows that are slightly angled downward. His
eyes are sunken and his irises appear to be grey, flecked with scarlet.
Beneath his small, pointed nose is an impeccably trimmed, thin black
moustache that ends at the edges of his nostrils. Thin lips are set in a
slight sneer and his pointed chin is accentuated with a small, triangle
shaped patch of black hair extending from it's very bottom. Despite his
slight build, he does not to be afraid of his surroundings.
This isn’t a protest about necromancer changes or anything.
Necromancer is just 100% not for me. It was super fun to RP with the golems but I legit do not have the time/desire to do the whole “invest tons of time to get zombies” thing. Sometimes I’d put in an hour to get great zombies and not fight anybody and that just wasn’t fun.
I figured a necro could be terrifying but maybe not if it was a Justice (ie you know you’d always be safe in town).
Ozaru once told me “you are a masochist. Nobody wants to fight a Justice. Nobody wants to fight a necro. Nobody wants to fight a trained necro. You just went ahead and did all three. “ I laughed out loud at that.

Sorry to leave Justice empty again and thanks to those who interacted with Linisan. Heart just wasn’t in it.

Yeah, you weren't a good fit. I didn't have a single complaint come in about you. As a Justice member I require at least 1 complaint a week.
But really...
Imm thought: Fit in well, reported things very nicely/promptly, and asked good questions. Appreciated.
Random Mort thought: You interrupted my first ranking group in forever and I'll never forgive you.

I honestly thought this was Dogran's character for some reason...
Had some mixed interactions across various toons, but Linisan wasn't a bad character. However, I wouldn't say he compared well with say, Ravinah or Resatimm...
Exactly the same as above. When I first started playing again, you where there, helpful and had GREAT RP. Loved it! Made me want to play more.

It was a blast helping you guys level and giving you some tips. Wish I could have stayed longer or hung out with you guys more. Hope you’re having fun!
Between 2 chars I saw only 1 f bomb, and while startling, was warranted at the time. Emotions do run high at times. I guess if it was pervasive I would have had a problem, but this is an adult game.

I thought long and heard about the language with this guy. I decided to drop some F bombs mostly due to the RP. His older siblings tormented him as a kid so he killed then, captured their souls, put them into the golems and then tortured them back. They are still siblings though so squabbling was pervasive, as was teasing. Good example: fail on animate. Stone golem (Jolas) says “hey look you fucked it up again”. Linisan says “fuck you Jolas”. Flesh golem (rithi) says “I don’t know Linny, you sort of are a shit necromancer”. Linisan sighs heavily and then threatens to create them without mouths if they don’t shut up. Etc etc.
