Childhood is a wondrous thing to some, a blight on the past of others,
sometimes a time forgotten by some, and in all cases is it a time when
somebody is just beginning to make their first steps in life. There are
also times it is forgotten what childhood is like, particularly among those
who refuse to dream or pursue their dreams. Ocelia's childhood was mostly
spent in her family's kitchen and library.
Just as many people do not remember when they did not know when to talk or
walk, so too does Ocelia not remember when she did not know how to read or
even when she did not enjoy the taste of sugar. She became especially fond
of books at a young age, and it was a distraction her parents gave her from
the kitchen, where she otherwise spent all of her time. There was just
something about the kitchen which entranced Ocelia... If she was left
unattended for too long she would dip her fingers into the sugar jar if she
thought nobody was looking.
The distraction of books certainly enthralled Ocelia as well... There was a
collection of assorted fairy tales in the library which she read many times
over. Among the stories in the collection which she especially liked
included one about a crazed man masquerading himself as a Knight-gallant,
one about a young man with a ring which summoned a djinni, and one about how
to slay a dragon.
As she bloomed into her mid-late teenage years, Ocelia learned a bit about
magick, particularly the illusionary sort. She eventually left her parents,
confident that she could handle being by herself in Serin.
Description:
An elfin, wingless humanoid is here. She is no taller than a house cat,
and has twiglike limbs. It is very difficult to make out the digits on her
hands, as they are so tiny. Her body is somewhat like an elf's, only
downsized several categories. She has the pointy ears which elves do, for
sure. She is also long-limbed and has golden-yellow hair cascading in
layers off of her head and over her back. It also appears that her skin is
a color almost like old ivory: it shows hints of pure whiteness underneath
noteworthy patches of yellow on it.
Oops, almost missed this one too! I liked this character a lot, especially the sugar based ecasts. In fact, I was hoping for some light hearted mystique articles, but it seems like you moved on to other things.
When you're trying to improve things and suddenly you're part of what you see as "the problem"... I won't go into details but I'm disappointed with how I handled things starting with the HGOD on Chul.
PS. Can I ask our moderators to consider locking this GY before it gets out of hand?

Seems fine to lock a graveyard on owner request, but there's also an opportunity to learn here.
what you really needed to do is reply to the right comment in the first place. Your comment 3 was a response to comment 2. Had you replied to the correct thread, we could've just locked that and let the rest of the comment threads continue without resorting to locking all the comments, which is overkill.
