There are many things of bewilderment found within the magical realm of
Acadia. Some say Serin faery tales evolved there, and others may speak the
subject of nightmares. In this particular tale, there was a curious Pixie
by the name of Qryll, who lived a life of innocence and adventure. Qryll
was an involuntary member of solitude, or, some might call her an orphan.
Nevertheless, these types of fey ilk had circles. Her kinship was with the
benevolent nature of the sacred grove. A holy place where pixie
superstition was teeming with life, up until one fateful morning. Qryll
trifled with the wrong adventurer, one who dabbled in wizardry of the dark
arts. Engulfed in faerie flames, Qryll ran out of desperation to hide. She
found the nearest spot, and took cover within the nearest hollow of a tree.
It wasn't until the roots had entangled her that she had realized she had
broken superstition. Approaching her from the dark with a scythe encased in
ice floating nearby, the man spoke a series of incantations. Her eyes
ventured deep within Llosla's heart, and within seconds her sight was gone.
Moments later, she felt tired and weak. As she whimpered and prayed, for
anything, for luck to survive, she felt a great warmth come over her. When
she awoke, her circle stood before as family would during a funeral dirge.
Qryll turned to view the grotesque tree behind her, and it was soon
understood that she was banished from Acadia for what she had done. This
began the tale of Qryll, and journey unto the prime material plane of Serin.
Description:
A tiny illuminant being resides here. She has long since lost the color
once found within her eyes, all that remain outside her dull peripherals are
the markings of wild magic. A mundane physical body bares the wings of a
pixie that are fluorescent and spectral by nature. Reminiscent of elvish
features and acadian descent, Qryll holds characteristics like those found
within a surreal dream. She wears a cloak of mystery, with blades of white
hair spilling over the right side of her face. Her expressionless gaze has
the familiarity of someone lost within the remnants of a memory.
Thanks for the reboot, and sorry to waste your time.
It's a double edge sword not knowing what your songs actually do, but also enjoying the mystique of it all too. I just want a refresh on a different class. I have had trouble getting into my characters and finding their roleplay, I don't think this character was a good fit for me.
Again, apologies to the few who helped me along the way, and to the major reboot after my frustration through Discord. I'll be back. Ciao for now!
Sorry this character wasn’t a good fit but it’s better that you figured that out now than 4 months from now! No hard feelings on my part - always happy to help a light walker whenever possible.
I was surprised to see a bard app to Knight, and I was excited to see if Qryll would be as amazing for them as Crisbin was for Keepers. But bards have a steeeep learning curve and if your own story wasn't keeping you engaged, I can't blame you for bowing out.
I hope you find someone that feels right to play again soon. I've had a lot of false starts before, so I get where you're coming from.
Well, I definitely am super disappointed we didnt get to fight again. I waited a really long time lol. It sucks that you put all that effort into a dead cabal. I was rooting for you
