Vok was born into the realms not far from the freezing elements of the
Great Tundra, which would serve as his early stomping grounds. At a young
age his parents who were seasoned local hunters ventured outside of their
family cabin, never to return; the cause of their death was unknown. As a
result of his misfortune one thing quickly became clear, he had to find a
way out if he was to survive. Luckily, he already knew how to track,
navigate, and hunt well, however the perils that awaited him would nearly
claim his life at least 9 times. Miraculously, after facing many grueling
months under extreme conditions, such as icy terrain and adversity from an
abundance of wicked foes, he made it to Valour where he quickly forged
alliances under a common goal, to purge the realms of darkness. After many
months had passed, he migrated to the woodlands south of Seringale, where
his spirit would merge with the animal he attributed his likeness to. In
his mind the perilous journey he once endured never ended; his fate was
predetermined: to cleave a path through any wilderness and to walk beside
the greatest Champions of Valour.
Description:
Leaves and soil are gathered together forming a suspicious pile, but at a
second glance you soon discover that you are looking at what appears to be a
man. Whether he is homeless is unclear, for he appears to be sober and in
good health, but filthy nonetheless. Long, black hair hangs down either
side of his face, running alongside high-set cheekbones. Underneath his
noticeably thick hair and moderately trimmed beard you see a scar made up of
four lines, resembling a claw, possibly from a wolf or tiger.
Hard disagree there. custom title. .background is sweet, logs are against to players, made it into the mystique. stuck it out over a year and high activity.. made it to a high rank in Knights. Nice guy, not a douchey Knight at all. That character seems far from terrible. If it is the 14% win rate (I can see how that might be discouraging) that may just be pointing to some players are really good at executing OP strategies while your options have been comparatively weaker despite a good effort, not necessarily a lack of skill, and feedback is always welcome if that is how it feels
Vok was not a terrible character! Hell you did worlds better than I did! Pretty sure you handily beat Kryton, hence your title! You carried the torch when I went inactive in one of my depressive episodes! You had a solid RP, definitely earned the guardian title. I was jealous you didn't need the absolute top end bow to do those unspeakable shots. Hekc I thought it was pretty neat two rangers were two of the three higher ranking slots in Knights. Command was a role you were working on last I knew, and were growing into. Leadership is hard!
Regardless, I'm sorry to see Vok go, and hope you return rested and ready to tackle another character
Things were pretty quiet with Knights when I first joined. I was squired by Thandus back in the day, autoinducted, and began the slow climb to pinnacle. Vok was the first knight I traveled with, the first member of my cabal that I truly considered a comrade. We gained equipment, talked of the current darkness that held sway over Serin, and what future the Knights held against it. Ye encouraged me to seek leadership within the Knights, and spoke of the bright future ye saw fer me within these halls. I've ever taken yer words of encouragement to heart, and sought to lead by example as best I could.
Ye were truly a grace to our Halls, Sir Vok. Take yer well earned rest and go in peace, son of Valour ;)
Great character. Very sorry to see you go and you're always welcome in Knights. I saw so much improvement in you over the lifetime of your character, which means more to me than necessarily having a stellar PK record. You slayed your dragon (Kryton) and kept on truckin. Super active over your whole lifetime. The list goes on. Great job!
Why the delete? Knights is one of the greatest cabals to learn PK. You had some really good moments, like when you took down Kryton and earned your custom title. Beyond that, you were acting as a great mentor to the Knights. You will be missed. Something to keep in mind, it's not all about being the best killer.
Ah crap why are you deleting all your chars? You have some great ones in here. I didn’t play with Vok much but I really enjoyed the logs and other mentions!
I don't know why people think you were learning to fight. You knew exactly what you were doing, just early on you didn't have the equipment. At least with the three characters you had, you didn't hoard a bunch of eq on each of them. Everyone should blame/credit you for the weapon switching mechanic change because your double weapon switching was extremely innovative to bait me into lagging myself. I appreciated fighting you as much as I did because it helped me get better. I didn't even know your custom title was for killing Kryton, I thought you had just killed the dragons a bunch of times for the equipment LOL. It was a real bummer for me in game how that vampire priest thing played out, sometimes I think if that never happened and if Vevier never opened his dumb ass mouth how would our characters have turned out differently. Good luck on the next one.
