Title: the Harbinger of Armageddon Gender: Male Level: 45 Class: quasitshaman
Background history:
Description:
A sudden rush of rapidly fluttering wings is heard from nearby. An ominous
creature with a pair of long bat-like wings hovers before you, a small
sphere of solid inky blackness. A sudden whiteness as an eyelid the width
of its body parts revealing a large shiny eye, its comparably small violet
iris glaring balefully. Another flash of white as its lips part to reveal
rows upon rows of pristinely sharpened fangs dripping an unknown translucent
substance onto the ground, the lips suddenly curve in an intimidatingly
malevolent expression. A strange smokey haze obscures what appear to be
shrivelled arms from either side of its body, arms that end in black
claws stained in crimson. On its underside it bears a glowing fiery brand
in the shape of a crescent moon.
This wasn’t mine, but my (unsolicited) take on shamans is that they’re fun as hell in PvP, fun and dynamic in groups, but the solo gameplay is just a chore. That’s why I’ve had so few that actually stick. I’ve discovered recently that I need a character that thrives in all three of those areas for me to stick with it.

That wasn't my experience at all. Much of my time as a mortal shaman was spent alone, usually fighting one or more enemies.

Its just really hard to top the pure effectiveness of cure and kick, that shit goes together like bread and butter, and with the harm spell finisher, shamans are pretty easy to PK noobs with.
