'THUNDER STORM' Syntax: cast 'thunder storm' (short syntax: tsto) Syntax: channel (to stop casting) Spell type: AFFLICTIVE This spell conjures a storm of thunder and lightning, causing electric bolts to discharge around the room. There are few spells with damage potential greater than that of a raging storm, but victims have also been known to survive the storm with little more than a few hairs on end and a new heart rhythm. Each successive thunder storm temporarily strengthens the victim's resistance to subsequent lightning attacks. Only invokers are able to call a thunder storm as a part of their arsenal. In their endless study of the arcane, invokers have developed an affinity for elemental spells. A thunder storm cast by an invoker who is completely attuned with lightning has been known to cause anyone unlucky enough to be in the room to be shocked (mental). Victims of this shock are often so stunned that they are stripped of their magical spells as if they were the target of a dispel magic spell (afflictive).
