While in the style, the monk holds his hands in a hook-like fist, and makes grasp-and-attack motions, usually with his weight on the back leg to promote quicker front kicks. This requires complex footwork. A practitioner of mantis style uses narrow circular motions that mimick the movements of a praying mantis. While in mantis style, the monk may strike at vital points - like the snake style, but in a more direct rather than disabling manner. His attacks are more difficult to parry with an advantage. Activating this style temporarily increases ability to target pressure points and caused their basic attacks to deal air damage, slicing like the winds.
