BLOODING
'BLOODING'
Syntax: rage
Berserkers live for the heat of battle, and few savor the taste of combat
as utterly as dwarven berserkers do. These dwarves live so thoroughly
through their battlelust that merely entering their berserker rage will heal
some of their wounds and fortify their legendary dwarven hardiness. The
effect of the blooding legacy is especially pronounced when a dwarven
berserker is fighting against a foe beyond his experience--or fighting
against superior numbers--as well as when fighting against physically larger
targets. However, they gain no more health than usual when fighting against
creatures of the land (mobs) instead of adventurers (PC's), no matter how
difficult the fight. As the rush of battle that triggers the blooding
legacy requires the dwarf to be in the thick of fighting, he will not gain
any benefits unless he is tanking an enemy, rather than cowering behind his
allies for defense.
The blooding effect is automatically engaged during rage and can be only used
at intervals. Thus, dwarf berserkers will often choose not to enter rage if a
larger battle is imminent, or choose to hold off entering rage during a critical
battle until they are wounded.
Constitution improves the health gained from blooding.
