'Craggy Skin' Generations of mountain-dwelling stone giants have lived in the wilderness of the Ford, a desolate place known for its gigantic mountains and the cold, eternal winter at their peaks. Over the ages these harsh conditions enabled stone giants to develop a thickened blood stream that is better able to endure them. A side-effect was an enhanced skin thickness that allows them to weather a beating, or in other words, grants a high resistance to all physical attack. The stone giant berserker uses this to further the advantage of fighting in a berserker rage. Since raging causes the berserker's bloodstream to run faster, this also enhances the effect it has on their toughness. A raged stone giant is thus better able to weather attacks from the beasts of Serin, via the PROTECTION CREATURE affect, and also undergoes a medium improvement to their armor class. The affect continues to persist for a short while after their madness wears off. Note that due to long periods spent away from their natural homes, this affect is lost permanently upon attaining the 50th rank.
