DIOCLETIAN
Warmaster Diocletian was a Warlord feared by many during the First Age. He
was born in the golden age where warriors ruled over practicioners of all
magic. Soon things started to change, the magic guilds studied intensively
to perfect their arts while the warriors came to a stagnant and declined
gradually. Diocletian refused to buckle in to the change of tides, he
fought valiantly through the dark age of warriors for decades. Lord Stryth
decided to grant Diocletian a deadly task worthy of a warrior's last days.
With his favoured weapon, a greatsword, he fought the mightiest dragon of
Serin with his entire physical prowess. In the end, he stood victorious
with the heart of the slain dragon clenched in his fist. He was also the
immortal who gave rise to the race of werebeasts, who became physical
manifestations of Diocletian's fierce, primal nature. The altar of
Diocletian lies in the Keep of Mahn-Tor.
Followers of Diocletian love fighting, and the glory and fame it can bring
to them. They value perfection and making a place in history. They do not
seek out close friendships since every other person is seen as a potential
contender, or at best, someone who might be lost on the battlefield anyway.
Nevertheless, those who follow Diocletian are very loyal to each other, and
their small circles form brotherhoods tighter than any cabal's bonds. The
worshippers of Diocletian are primarily those of Warlords, although those
who have a love for battle often serve him as well.
