ENGRAVE

'ENGRAVE' Syntax: engrave <object to be engraved> <object from a set> Syntax: engrave <object to be engraved> <essence> Available at the anvils in Grimforge, engraving allows one to decorate a limited item with the sigil of an item's set. This gives the rare item the recognition of being in that set, allowing the wearer to benefit from using that rare item without sacrificing the full set bonus - though some items have been known to lose a fraction of their individual power through the engraving process when then worn as part of the set. Note that in order to maintain a set bonus, one must continue to wear more original set pieces than engraved rare pieces. The cost of engraving is 400 times the level of the item. A limited number of essences are provided in the realms to help facilitate the completion of mid-range sets, incase of being unable to acquire the limited item they depend on. These may only be used in conjunction with similar lower-level limited items. Certain items in the realms permit being engraved on without being limited items. This includes colored steel equipment from Mahntor, items produced by engraving and items produced by Keepers. Some original set items are too important to be engraved from, including, but not limited to, rare and unique set items. Wild items may only be engraved on a wild set item. Some say an anvil from ancient Grimforge still survives in modern Serin.
