'FALTER' Syntax: automatic A psionicist uses their mind as a weapon. While fighting against psionicists, missed melee attacks and deflected abilities will cause their assailants to experience a faltering. The effect does not last long and can easily be remedied with a retreat for rest - however, if ignored, faltering completely ensues, which will render vulnerability to many of the psionicist's spells. Illithids are a little quicker than other races at causing a full mental breakdown. Note that those who are more resistant to charm will take longer to falter - most noteably, elves. Vulnerability to charm does not cause faster faltering.
