The 'Gremlin Games' event, formerly known as 'Fling the Gnomes!', was invented
by the immortal Vanisse as an activity aimed to stimulate camaraderie and good-
natured fun for all ages, classes and races. A prior version involved flinging
gnomes but was replaced by popular demand, mostly by the tiny but vocal gnome
community.
The event involves launching gremlins from North or South Square. Points are
awarded for successfully striking a member of the opponent team with a gremlin
in the face. Gremlins that strike with extra force earn two points. Gremlins
that miss entirely do not earn points, but will run away. Killing the
runaway gremlins nets small prizes of gold or experience tokens. The first
team to five points wins the round, which is announced on gossip and at each
square.
Only Heralds and Immortals are able to call this event into play. The actual
games are set into place by speaking with the Games Master, located in the
Office of the Master Scribe. However, one should always first scribe an
EVENT in advance, to allow enough advance alert of the event taking place.
This event is typically given a duration of 30-60 minutes so as not to
endanger the population of gremlins in Serin.
