'MOVEMENT'
Movement is possible in the six cardinal directions. Those are north,
east, south, west, up, down. To move, type the direction you want to go.
Note: simple english. Type 'north' to go north, not 'go north' or 'walk
north'. Just type north. You can see the ways you can leave a room by
typing 'look' or 'exits'. Both will show you the ways open to you. For
example:
[Exits: north east west]
You can abbreviate the directions down to their first letters. n, e, s,
w, u, d. So if you want to go north, you may also type an n. Nothing
but that. Just type an n, and hit return, and your character will move
north and pause momentarily to take a look at his new location.
This is the hard part and will matter after level 10: moving quickly.
To be competitive you need to send directions as fast as possible. One
way to do this is to be able to type with demonic speed. An easier way
is to just use a MUD client (most are free and support this).
Clients such as ZMUD allow you to use your numpad to move. Turn on the
numlock on your number pad and the keys 8, 4, 6, 2, 1 and 9 will be usable
to move directions. These features are pre-installed before download.
