'OATH' Syntax: oath Syntax: yield It is the duty of Knights to eradicate all the shadowspawns from Serin. For those who wish no conflict with the people of Valour, there exists the opportunity to take an OATH of fealty. Upon making such an oath, agreement has been made to bring no harm upon any citizen of Valour. In return, the Knights of Valour will make no pre-emptive strike against the evildoer. Oaths are taken in one of two ways. First, you may swear the Oath yourself proactively at the Altar of Light in Valour, by uttering the OATH command. Second, if a Knight begins a CRUSADE against you, you may YIELD to that Crusade which will automatically result in you taking the Oath. Attacking a Valourian while under Oath will result in its immediate breaking and a mark of ANATHEMA for the aggressor. Note that this does not apply to all Lightwalkers - to receive this protection, he must have a Valour hometown in order to prove his full merit. Attacking a Knight will also break the oath, naturally, as will invading the Knight cabal. * Note: Caballed evils will not be able to take Oaths. Cabal duties will bring them into conflict with the Knights sooner or later. See also : HELP CRUSADE For information on paladin oath selection, see SACRED OATH.
