'OVERBEAR' Syntax: AUTOMATIC To add to their combat options, warriors can elect to double grip a weapon that they would normally wield one-handed -- that is, to OVERBEAR the weapon. Although one-handed weapons are generally inferior in power to two-handed weapons, the additional speed, power, and control from using a more managable overbeared weapon allows for special actions to be performed. For instance, an overbeared weapon is powerful enough to temporarily distend an enemy's arm after parrying an offhand attack or having one's overbeared attack being offhand parried. Also, overbeared weapons are almost impossible to disarm. And while overbeared weapons may lack in power and parrying ability compared to conventional two-handed weapons, they also enhance the usage of skills like RIPOSTE or OFFHAND DISARM. Large warriors, such as giants and minotaurs, have hands that are too big to overbear normal one-handed weapons, but they may overbear oversized ones.
