PHYLACTERY

'PHYLACTERY' Syntax: cast 'phylactery' <object> This spell turns an every day household item into a container for the necromancer's soul, with the price of the spell being, of course, one soul. If you have a phylactery and die, you will be revived where you are with a condition just better than being "pretty hurt", though you lose all of your mana and minions. A word of warning - if your phylactery is found and destroyed, then that part of your soul is lost forever, so hide it well. The phylactery is removed from the game during logouts, and reloaded once logging back into the game. Once the spell is cast, phylactery items can no longer be picked up. Splitting one's soul is no small matter - it is said that once a necromancer has done this, they will forever lose a part of their humanity as well. This act can provoke the hatred of those who hold all life sacred. Noteably, alhoons cannot have phylacteries, because they don't have a soul to split.
