STIGMA
'STIGMATIZE'
Syntax: automatic (by casting appropriate spells)
In contrast to the gratuitous blessings offered by the lightwalkers to
their friends and indeed themselves, the torments of a shaman are able to
inflict their victim with a measure of uncleanliness, known as a stigma.
The stigma persists for a few rounds of combat after certain spells are
cast, creating a temporary vulnerability. The vulnerability depends on the
element of the spell that was used on the victim.
Acid spells (e.g. cause serious, flay health) -> creates vulnerability to plague attacks
Plague spells (e.g. plague, deteriorate) -> creates vulnerability to shadow attacks
Shadow spells (e.g. curse, insomnia) -> creates vulnerability to trickery attacks
Trickery spells (e.g. blindness, faerie fire) -> creates vulnerability to acid attacks
Each stigma may stack on itself up to three times, refreshing on stack. The
shaman may also have three different stigmas in effect. If the shaman casts
a fourth type of spell (unlikely because of how quickly stigmas expire),
that will replace the oldest effect. The effect of the stigmas is to reduce
saves against spells of that element and increase damage taken, both of
which increase with stack size.
