'SCARLETIDE' The Scarletide names and commemorates both the total destruction of the realm and also its restoration from the brink of disaster, by the hand of the god of Blood himself. This day was secondary only to the day of the Founding in its importance, as the entire realm and everyone in it ceased to exist, with no means of return than from the recovered memories of the Blood god. This event celebrates birth and renewal, in all forms. It is a time for the many mortals of the realms to reflect on their significance in the eyes of the Immortals, who were able to save every soul by having preparations in place with no knowledge of ever needing to be ready. It is a time to celebrate the resilience of the realm and its Immortals, having survived the evils of both malevolence and indifference. And it is a time to remember the freedoms of every mortal to pursue ambitions was earned in a high-stakes battle fought between forces of good and evil.
