The Serin Cross-Country Race was one of the first Herald events ever created.
It was set up with four kittens, one at the start line at North Square and
three others selectively scattered about Serin. Each of the three scattered
kittens held two riddles: the first riddle asked for an easily obtainable item
in the area where the kitten resided, and the other revealed the location of
the next kitten. Race participants were thus required to think quickly while
speeding through Serin as quickly as possible! Use of magical transportation,
such as word of recall, nexus or gate, resulted in disqualification. Heralds
recorded start and stop time, and ranked competitors based on the swiftest
completion of the race. The winner received a prize and bragging rights
displayed broadly across the Herald Bulletin Board.
Tickets for entry to the Serin Race may be purchased from Noldo in Seringale
for herald chips. Hand the ticket to the Race Kitten at North Square to begin.
Only Heralds are able to start and end the Serin Race. This is completed by
making a request at Odile.
***Heralds only***
To begin the race, at Odile...
Syntax: say 'Please send out the kittens' - sets the Race components into place
