VALINDRA
The origins of Valindra are apocryphal at best, though every telling or
fable ties her to Acadia in some significant way. She first rose to
prominence in the Second Age after snatching the body of a goblin. She
later traveled through Serin peddling fortunes and minor curses before
claiming her storied place among the Heralds. As Poetic Prognosticator,
Valindra deployed her divinatory rhymes to help her coterie defeat the Demon
Princes infesting the realm and later banish her own nemesis, the dark witch
Olgarda. After the fracturing of her original coven, Valindra fled through
a magic mirror, returning only years later fatter and more powerful than
ever before. The altar of Valindra lies deep within the heart of the
Acadian jungle. Her familiar is the wisp Hibbadibbity.
Followers of Valindra prize laughter and curses, poetry and witchcraft, and
the inherent magic of words. Those fascinated by the boundaries between
good and evil may be drawn to this divine enchantress, for she herself has
worn many faces and auras. Valindra welcomes all creatures to her worship,
though crones, storytellers, and dwarven paladins may find her kiss
especially potent.
