'VICIOUS STROKE' Syntax: clobber <target> Centuries of oppression from the stronger subterranean races have made duergars especially brutal when they're facing the threat of a stronger opponent, and this tendency has also led them to develop the Vicious Stroke legacy. This legacy allows duergars to strike a more powerful target so viciously with the CLOBBER skill that should the target be sent sprawling, the force of the impact is sure to injure the target's legs upon landing, causing him to be hobbled as per the fighter skill HOBBLE. To conserve the potency of this legacy, duergar thieves will only perform it when they are facing targets that are significantly higher than themselves in levels. The Vicious Stroke legacy also permits duergar thieves to gain proficiency in the use of axes starting at the 26th level.
