WHIRLWIND POKER

'WHIRLWIND POKER' Seringale's Mockers Tavern hosts whirlwind poker, a card game for 2-8 players. This is a brief description of how the game works. The blinds: Before the game starts, two people must bet "blinds". This fills the pot up with an initial amount of money. As games continue, other players will take it in turn to be the blinds. First betting round: After blinds are paid, two cards are dealt. Players then have a choice. They can CALL, to meet the blinds and stay in the game. They can FOLD, to leave the game. Or they can RAISE. This one-ups the max bid. This round ends when everyone left has paid the max bid. The flop: Three cards are dealt to the table. The first player to go is the one that paid the first blind. He has option to CHECK (no further input into the pot), or he can RAISE, FOLD. If someone raises, everyone must call that raise. When that happens, the round ends. The turn: Another card is dealt to the table. This brings the total number of cards in the game to six. Play progresses the same as the flop. The river: Same as the turn, dealing a final card to the table. The showdown: This is the end of the game. Everyone shows their cards, and makes the best hand possible from their pocket cards and the community cards. The best hand wins. A list of winning hands is on the wall of the Tavern. The whirlwind: Whirlwind poker wouldn't be complete without the whirlwind. If a raise will bankrupt a player, the round changes into a special whirlwind round. Every player left in the round has their usual betting options. When this round ends, all remaining cards are dealt, and the showdown occurs. Staying in a game of poker till the final hands are shown nets you 5 Herald chips.
