'WILLPOWER'
Syntax for prompt: %N
While other classes such as warriors and mages rely heavily on equipment
and practice, a sizeable portion of a paladin's strength and effectiveness
in combat will come from his willpower. A paladin with a high degree of
willpower will make a larger impact - those with less willpower,
considerably less so. A paladin's willpower improves his confidence, and
competence, as he believes more strongly and strengthens in his faith.
Broadly speaking, the paladin increases their willpower as they assert
themselves with the skills the gods have provided them to use. Such skills
will deplete the paladin's reserves of mana, typically. Willpower is lost
by being bashed, tripped, or other things that negate their ability to use
those same skills, as well as from a long period of non-combat.
Certain skills and spells have a profound effect on the paladin's willpower.
For instance, a paladin may use
IRON WILL to make their willpower much
tougher. With iron will, they would still lose willpower from the bash and
trips as before, but would no longer be slowed down by them.
