'DETECT EVIL' 'DETECT GOOD' 'DETECT INVIS'
Syntax: cast 'detect evil' (short syntax: devi)
Syntax: cast 'detect good' (short syntax: dgoo)
Syntax: cast 'detect invis' (short syntax: dinv)
Spell type: OTHER
The detect evil spell enables the caster to distinguish those who follow the
path of darkness, revealing a characteristic red aura around the person. It
also enables the caster to distinguish objects that are evil in nature. Healers
and paladins learn this spell at an early stage of their training. Paladins are
so adept at discerning the threats of darkness that they can sense foes using
the
WHO command (red highlighted) without the spell active.
The detect good spell enables the caster to distinguish those who follow the
path of light, revealing a characteristic golden aura around the person. It
also enables the caster to distinguish objects that are good in nature. Shamans
and dark-knights learn this spell.
The detect invis spell enables the caster to see those who have concealed
themselves by the invisibility spell. It also enables the caster to see
objects that are invisible by nature. This spell is learnt by mages, clerics,
paladins, dark-knights and shadows. If the caster has mastered the other
spells, e.g. detect magic, detect invis will cover that also.
