If performed immediately following a successful blade slash, then the ego whip is a larger and more deadly variation, and capable of leaving additional lingering effects to the victim's confidence. Otherwise, it serves pierce-based damage. Additionally, ego whip checks a mental save against the primary target of the spell. If successful, they will falter and lose some of their accuracy with weapons. Those who resist charm are much less susceptible to the blow to the ego.
