'CRAFTING' This helpfile is an index, in no particular order, of what processes and services are available to facilitate in-game crafting, i.e. the production, manufacture and enhancement of objects, rooms and mobiles by players. Basic gathering and survival skills: * fishing, skinning, mining, woodcutting, milking, shards, salvage Manufacturing processes cooking - employ recipes to make useful foods botany - grow seeds (from shops) into plants and herbs brewing - used to create potions gambling - used in many stores to create random items jewelcrafting - create jewelry and amulets with 1 or more predictable affixes leatherworking - create light armor with predictable affixes weaponforging - create weapons from components armorforging - read about how to make top-line dwarven armor witch carving - read about how to make top-line centaur weapons lairs - read about how to make your own house (and workbench) In addition to the options available when one first meets these, it is possible to find various patterns and stencils while adventuring. Enhancements enchant armor - adds small amounts of AC to an item enchant weapon - adds hitroll/damroll to weapons augment - adds minor stat, hp, to armors engrave - add rare items into sets dyes - changes the items color (purely cosmetic) Note that there are additional perks available to certain classes and races; for instance, a ranger learns to create their own arrows for their bows, which they also create, as well as makes a very useful campfire.
