'CRAFTING'
This helpfile is an index, in no particular order, of what processes and
services are available to facilitate in-game crafting, i.e. the production,
manufacture and enhancement of objects, rooms and mobiles by players.
Basic gathering and survival skills:
*
fishing,
skinning,
mining,
woodcutting,
milking,
shards,
salvage
Manufacturing processes
cooking - employ recipes to make useful foods
botany - grow seeds (from shops) into plants and herbs
brewing - used to create potions
gambling - used in many stores to create random items
jewelcrafting - create jewelry and amulets with 1 or more predictable affixes
leatherworking - create light armor with predictable affixes
weaponforging - create weapons from components
armorforging - read about how to make top-line dwarven armor
witch carving - read about how to make top-line centaur weapons
lairs - read about how to make your own house (and workbench)
In addition to the options available when one first meets these, it is
possible to find various patterns and stencils while adventuring. For
for more information, see
PATTERN.
Enhancements
enchant armor - adds small amounts of AC to an item
enchant weapon - adds hitroll/damroll to weapons
augment - adds minor stat, hp, to armors
engrave - add rare items into sets
dyes - changes the items color (purely cosmetic)
Note that there are additional perks available to certain classes
and races; for instance, a ranger learns to create their own arrows
for their bows, which they also create, as well as makes a very
useful campfire. Druids are able to forage to find seeds, dwarves
are naturally better at timing the hammering of the forge.
