'MULTI' Although you are allowed to create and play multiple characters, multi- charactering is NOT allowed on Abandoned Realms. Multi-charactering is defined as an illegal transfer of game information between two characters. Multi-playing speaks for itself. If you are not sure if something is cheating, then PRAY and ask before you attempt it. These are some examples of cheating: NOTE: This list is not exhaustive. Don't think "exceptions" not listed here are safe to use. Ask permission first. If you don't get permission, then DON'T go ahead with it. Cloaked immortals will stay silent when you pray to ask if anything already within the rules helpfiles is true. Connection/equipment-based examples: * Having more than one of your own characters logged in at once. * Circumventing the 10 minute wait. * Logging on a character to give equipment to another of your own characters. * Using/Being a middle-man to help you transfer items between characters. ``` This applies to player and NPC middlemen. * Leaving equipment behind someplace to collect with a new character or one of your existing characters. This includes via the temple pits and coffers. * Locating equipment to collect with your other character. * Sacrificing equipment to "repop" with your other character. * Trying to give equipment to another of your characters, even if you failed. * Placing an item in the auction house and then buying it with another one of your characters. Player/Mob Interaction-based examples: * Your other characters having knowledge of each other. * Using your other characters to gain leverage. (Example: "I used to/also play Bob the Warrior, so do me some favours.") * Weakening a creature to finish off with your other character. * Telling people to wait up for you, while you change character. * Transferring NPC's to benefit your other characters. * Recycling previous character's descriptions. A rule of thumb to follow is: "Your character's knowledge should NOT extend beyond his in-game experience." A player logging in knowing something dynamic about the lay of the lands (like who's on, or where equipment is, that there's just been a reboot, etc) is ALWAYS guilty of multi. Due to the limited free time of Immortals, those caught in the act will be dealt with harshly. Proxies and other out-of-game relationships: Proxies includes shell accounts, routers, and same IP address play. Out-of- game relates to people you are in contact with out of the game, like friends, real-life brothers, and so on. These players are not allowed to take on smaller-sized groups or "honest soloer" players together. In addition, all of the character interactions that apply to playerkilling (e.g. "I need heals" or "Let's raid the Knight cabal") should take place INSIDE the game world.
