'SET PARRY'
Syntax: AUTOMATIC
By adopting a defensive strategy of reinforced armor instead of agile
dodging, paladins and dark-knights can also combine their armored combat
techniques with traditional parrying techniques to perform the improved set
parry defense. A set parry is an improved parry performed while wielding a
two-handed weapon. By bracing the hilt of the weapon against his armor and
guiding its movement with both hands, a paladin or dark-knight enjoys far
greater stability and faster weapon response speed with a two-handed set
parry than other fighters using two-handed weapons from more poorly pivoted
positions. As a bonus, the set parry technique also protects a wielded
two-handed weapon from most known methods of disarming. Higher
DEXTERITY
improves the chance of set parry.
Note: Paladins and dark-knights can ONLY set parry using two-handed weapons.
