Ok, I bring this up after the recent Dragon Claw of Annihilation post. How come some weapons when ID'd have the tag 'Can be dual parried'? I have used many weapons without that specific tag that dual parry just fine.

It's sort of along the same lines as weapons/items that cast spells.

Seashell rings cast 'create spring' (which your character probably wouldn't normally be able to do), flame red capes cast 'flamestrike' (see 'seashell rings'), etc...

Items with the 'Can be dual parried' tag add the dual parry ability, as Clifton said, for those classes that wouldn't normally be able to dual parry. You dual wield it, you have a chance at an extra defense (one reason why the dragon's tooth knife is so highly sought after).

Speaking of these item descriptions... I've always thought that the wording was a bit wrong. "Can be dual parried" seems to imply that someone else can dual parry the weapon, not that it can make YOU dual parry. It should read something like "Allows user to dual parry," or some similar phrasing. Just seems a bit confusing, and I think that might be partially where Solitare's confusion came from.
