| The only difference between a drow and duergar shaman is this. Duergar shaman can't tank Sheundan. Drow shaman can't tank breath mobs as well as duergar. That's it. |

| Drow shaman seem to take far less damage that duergar shaman due to the added dex. I'd give halfling healer my vote for raw tanking ability though. |

| Im gonna go with hrash as the best tank I have ever seen. Big freakin fire giant zerker, warlord, insane equipment...thats all I have to say. Hehh. |

Reason why zerkeres are the best tank =
They can dish out the damage.
They have a minor healing thing (berserk)
They get 150-200 hp per tick with regeneration. |

Resatimm, counter has always used mana. When your run out counter no longer works. |

at level 46 it does about dismembers against undead clerics, Human monks are good, human warriors are good, human dk are good, basically anything but mages, except for ill psis after they get pyramid...

"Tank" is just the guy who "tanks" the mob. The best "tank" would be the guy that can last the most rounds vs the mob.
A berserker is in the running for best tanks but obviously pipped by riposte. The illusionist is not a tank at all, he's damage dealer, not a sponge for it. The best tanks in the game are things like storm healers, druids, monks in horse stance, etc. |

Too bad it's asking for the best "solo" tank...
So unless your point is not to kill the mob, the guy who can take the most hits isn't necessarily the best "solo" tank |

Yes it is. "tank" = damage soaker. Your terminology is messed up. What you're looking for is the best character for player vs mob. That's easily a druid spamming tornado/cures. When someone asks "how well can you tank?" in game, they're just asking about your ability to defend. That's where a healer and defensive monk excel. Tanking = taking hits
