I was told that if you get a hardcore character to 50 that you wouldn't get all your lives back for it? I was under the impression that you did...So do you, or don't you get all your lives back if you get a hardcore character to 50? |

So what the fuck is the point of making a hardcore? So you can waste your fucking time to rank to level 50 and sit there and wait to die? How retarded is that? Oh because it is your choice to do it, it's our fault that we play a hardcore and basically waste time on nothing? |

Hardcore is about the challenge of getting to 50 without dying. No one has managed it yet. If you manage to make it past 35 , you get your name on the web page. |

When Hardcore first came out, one of the bonus' of getting hardcore to 50 in the first place, one of the rewards for passing the challenge, was that you got all your lives back, I know this because I was an Immortal at that time. So why did you change it? I want a high level immortal's words to tell me harcore isn't able to get the lives at 50...Burzuk? Res? |

Well, if your hardcore why would you want your lives back, wouldn't that undo the work you've done to get to 50? Or you just afraid of dying and losing the char. Though you know when you make it as the helpfile doesn't say ANYTHING about giving your lives back when you hit 50 or anything about rewards.

help hardcore
'HARDCORE'
Syntax: hardcore <password>
Only for the bravest of heart is choosing the option of converting your
character into an elite hardcore character. Hardcore characters are set to
one death and one death ONLY. Should you die at all with your hardcore
character, it is gone. No reimbursements will be made for loss of your
hardcore character to link dropping, pack of angry kaddar faeries or even a
group of annoyed bodyslam spamming fire berserkers. When you die your
tombstone will be placed in the hardcore graveyard if you made it to 35.
Characters must be below level 10 with no deaths to select the hardcore
mode. This mode is recommended only for veteran players. |
As Observer said it's about the challenge, as well as getting high enough puts you on the graveyard. Unless your at fifty and hardcore this isn't really relative but if you are, you could've asked in game. Especially since you demanded a high immortals opinion on it.
From what I hear someone did make it to 50 before the graveyard. |

As far as I know, the policy with hardcore has 'never' said anything about getting your lives back if you make it to 50.
That sounds like an Abe or Odo policy if you ask me . |

First I've heard of getting all lives back as well. I've got no idea what immortal you were when you were one, but perhaps you should examine your information. It is completely incorrect.
If you dont like the guidelines for HARDCORE, then dont do it. |

there's a hardcore graveyard somewhere on the website. someone did make it to 50 then died. that's the point of hardcore, to stay alive as long as you can. i entertained the thought of making one recently myself. but i'm laying off that masochistic behavior for now. |

It's on the right navbar of the main page.
Anyway, I've gotten a character to 50 without a death before (non-hardcore) and it's not that difficult. You either have to be good at running or one of the elite PKers.
Oh, and the record level for the graveyard characters is:
Name : Aldelon
Race : gnome
Title: the Apparitionist
Path : neutral neutral
Cabal: none
Age : 19 years old (52 hours)
Cause: Paelloran
Place: A Magnificent Throne (The River Wood)
Time : Wed Apr 7 06:28:34 2004 |

And for those not familiar with illusionists that's rank 47. Which is quite decent especially for a Gnome.
And he died to a mob too which means he still didn't die to a player, so it makes him that little bit better. Good work. |

It wasn't that hard really. Because better players see gnomes as utter gimps and only the less experienced ones attacked me. But I couldn't find a group for a while so I decided to gain items and didn't have much luck I guess. |
