hese skills are pretty straightforward in theory, and I'll let you read the helps on them. The execution though is a bit tricky -- the three skills are mainly designed to enhance existing weapon type advantages, but in actuality they take many, many things into account (for example, clobber has 10 different possible outcomes, so it's not simply a succeed/fail). In general though, maintaining weapon type advantage is the most important part of making these skills work for you, rather than against you.

The real question is, why do rogues have these new skills rather than fighter types? For starters, weapon types are more important for rogues since it allows them to overcome high-str parry, whereas most fighter types are high-str and have problems overcoming high-dex dodge rather than low-str parry. The fact that these weapon type skills are going to rogues should be a sign that there's something else for fighter types, something that's more dodge oriented than parry oriented, and you can bet your bottom dollar that when that goes in, fighters will have new skills to go along with those too.

For the time being, enjoy using these new skills to their fullest.
